Greetings from the Moot Court Association, Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia!
5th November, 2023 marked semi- final and final rounds as well as the valedictory ceremony of the 10th Jamia Millia Islamia National Moot Court Competition.
All the 4 teams graciously argued before the bench and finally 2 meritorious teams qualified for the final rounds. The judges found the teams well prepared and confident.
The valedictory ceremony was magnified by the CHIEF GUEST- Hon’ble Justice Prateek Jalan (Judge, High Court of Delhi).
Further, Dr. Aman Hingorani, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India, was called as the GUEST OF HONOUR.
Team JNMC 42 consisting of Nihal Noushad, Atharva Telwane and Amar Aditya Alluri from Amity Law School, Mumbai emerged as the winner team of the 10th Jamia Millia Islamia National Moot Court Competition. They were awarded with Rs. 30,000/- + Trophy + Certificate of Merit + Three (3) one- year complimentary (Academic) subscription to SCC online web edition.
While, team JNMC 47 consisting of Sana Kuser, Sadiqua Alam, and Anushree Gurung from Indian Institute of legal studies, Siliguri emerged as the runner up team of the competition. They were awarded with Rs. 20,000/- + Trophy + Certificate of Merit + Three (3) one- year complimentary (Academic) subscription to EBC online.
Team JNMC 38 consisting of Shloka Gupta, Krish Mistry and Aksh*t Jeswani from Symbiosis Law School, Pune took the trophy of best memorial. They were awarded with Rs. 12,000/- + Trophy + Certificate of Merit.
Nihal Noushad from Amity Law School, Mumbai bagged the best speaker award in final round and was awarded with Rs. 7,000/- + Trophy + Certificate of Merit.
Sadiqua Alam from Indian Institute of legal studies, Siliguri emerged as the best speaker (preliminary round) and was awarded with Rs. 5,000/- + Trophy + Certificate of Merit.
Best Researcher award was bagged by Chirag Negi of JNMC 27 from Army Institute of Law, Mohali and was awarded with Rs.7,000/- + Trophy + Certificate of Merit.
