This venture by Enactus SGGSCC was launched with the primary objective of controlling the levels in the capital of the country and rendering skills to the plant nursery owners. As the name suggests, plants can be booked, and they will be delivered at your doorstep in about 3-4 days.

, one of the most polluted cities in the world, was desperately in need of some green friends. Increasing number of cars, industries, construction sites, in and around Delhi-NCR, have led to a significant rise in air pollution. The environmental damage is massive.

Plant nurseries were also on the verge of shutting down
SGGSCC, realized the potential of plants and trees in preventing further harm to the environment and connected it with a very unrelated issue of the shutting down of plant nurseries. It majorly revolves around protection, by the means of promoting gardening and encouraging people to keep houseplants. It aims to supply air purifying saplings to the residential apartments and private lawns at minimal costs. It also gave city people a chance to book and name a sapling in their name at some place of their choice. The environment plays a crucial role in establishing the paradigm of future and needs to be viewed holistically.
Book A Plant has multiple objectives from cutting down pollution levels to improving of people, to rendering entrepreneurial skills to the plant nursery owners and workers.
In the first year of the venture “Book a Plant”, it had 350+ and over 2000+ plants were sold. It was massively . It increased the income of the plant nursery owners by manifold.

In the second year of this project, in addition to taking telephonic , we will soon be launching a website to take orders , wherein cash on delivery and online payment options will be given. Our volunteer’s program will commence from 23rd of September and orders can be placed from "2nd of October".

Enactus SGGSCC aims to make this project self-sustained by the end of this year and launch a mobile by next year.

The Delhi High Court dismissed a petition filed by publishers Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press and Taylor & Francis in November 2012 against a shop in North Campus Delhi University
