A conversation that opened doors beyond the classroom.

An engaging session with the Central Film School, London gave students a closer look at global opportunities in film and media- from building strong portfolios to understanding real industry pathways.

It wasn’t just about studying abroad but about thinking bigger, planning better.and seeing where these skills can actually take you.

Two days. Packed with ideas, experiments and a fresh way of looking at storytelling.

From understanding the evolving language of digital filmmaking to exploring how A.I. is shaping the creative process, this workshop felt less like a class and more like a shift in perspective.

A special highlight was the signing of an MoU between DCAC and AIMC- marking the beginning of a collaboration that opens up more opportunities, learning and exchange ahead.

Grateful to the speakers, organisers and everyone who showed up curious and left a little more inspired.

Some workshops give you notes. This one gave us a new lens. 🎥✨

The conversations didn’t end when the workshop did.

Department of Journalism, DCAC in collaboration with Public Media Tech Foundation organised a Two days workshop full of ideas, questions and real insights into what it takes to build something of your own in the digital space. From understanding the business behind content to hearing firsthand journeys, this wasn’t just a workshop- it felt like a starting point for many of us.

Grateful to all the speakers for keeping it honest and practical, and to everyone who showed up with curiosity and left with a little more clarity.

Learning beyond the classroom 🌿

The Department of Journalism’s educational visit to Jim Corbett National Park offered students hands-on exposure to environmental reporting, cultural observation and field-based storytelling.

From wildlife safari insights to understanding the cultural significance of Garjiya Devi Temple, the experience encouraged critical reflection on conservation, sustainable tourism and ethical journalism.

Blending academic learning with collaboration and shared experiences, the trip strengthened observational skills, professional awareness, and meaningful peer bonds- creating memories that extend far beyond the classroom.
