Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation of United Nations Organization in form and content. It aims to aware and educate participants about current events and topics of international concern. The delegates convene together to debate and discuss the agenda at hand in each committee. There lies an opportunity of interacting with hundreds of highly motivated students from diverse backgro

unds for the 2-day summit along with its alluring features. While simulating committees of the United Nations and other international bodies, the delegates develop and practice skills in public speaking, group communication, research, policy analysis, active listening, negotiating, conflict resolution, note taking, and technical writing. And in the end, they come away with a greater understanding of the world's problems and the diverse perspectives.

Plastic, a synthetic organic polymer which was invented for improving the manufacturing processes and paving the way for cheap mass production, has turned out to be the biggest threat for the environment. The efforts we put into fighting plastic waste are far from sufficient. It all starts from the little things, things as small as bottled water, which end up sitting in landfills for thousands of years leaking harmful chemicals in the environment before decomposing.

Keeping in mind these facts the Jaypee Model United Nations 2020 has decided to adopt the BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE policy for this 10th edition of the JMUN.
