Celebrating Pongal in the mist-covered hills of Ooty brings a unique charm to the harvest festival. On campus, the crisp mountain air is usually filled with the scent of woodsmoke and sweet jaggery, creating an atmosphere that blends the rustic traditions of Tamil Nadu with the scenic beauty of the Nilgiris. As the sun set behind the Nilgiri peaks, the Pongal celebrations concluded, leaving behind memories of shared laughter and a renewed sense of gratitude. Beyond the festivities, the day served as a reminder of our roots—connecting the modern campus life with the timeless traditions of the harvest.
