One-Day National Homoeopathic Seminar on Homoeopathy for All Ages.

The seminar is organised by Dr. M. L. Dhawale Memorial Homoeopathic Institute (MLDMHI) in association with ICR Study Group, Kolhapur (Silver Jubilee Celebration) & Housabai’s Group of Institutions (20th Anniversary).

Dhawale Memorial Homoeopathic Institute (MLDMHI),  shares a glimpse into his session: “Exploring the scope of Homoeopathy in midlife disorder NCD patients from OPD to IPD.” 

He will discuss the role of homoeopathy alongside other systems of medicine, from OPD to IPD settings, and how homoeopaths can contribute to patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Dhawale Memorial Homoeopathic Institute (MLDMHI), Director, Dr. M. L. Dhawale Memorial Homoeopathic Institute (MLDMHI) (Sec-8 Company) shares a glimpse into his session: “Adding Life to Years: A Homoeopathic Approach to Quality of Life in the Elderly.”

He highlights how the average age in India has increased from 32-35 years in 1947 to 72-75 years today, raising the important question: "Have we added life to age?" 

The session will explore the dynamics of geriatric care, differentiating between cases of cure and major cases of palliation. He will present illustrative cases involving cancer survivors, dementia, and depression, sharing personal experiences in managing this vulnerable age group.

From clinical cases to clinical reasoning.

The Alumni Guest Lecture with Dr. Hetal Kasliwal, Reader, Department of Paediatrics, Motiwala Homoeopathic Medical College, Nashik, brought an engaging, case-based approach to the discussion on “Mastering the Art and Science of Rubric Selection: Learning through Clinical Cases in Paediatric Dermatology.”

The session encouraged participants to look beyond the presenting skin lesion and explore the child's individual experience through careful observation, case-taking and listening to the patient's own expressions.

The case-based session focused on the practical aspects of observation, case-taking and rubric selection.

An alumna of the MLDMHI PG Paediatrics Batch 2005-08, Dr. Hetal has been practising exclusively in Paediatrics since 2009.

Starting the Conversation on Su***de Prevention

The Department of Psychiatry, MLDMHI, Palghar, organised an academic and awareness session on su***de prevention, bringing residents and faculty together to discuss how suicidal ideation can be approached within clinical settings.

The session began with an act by psychiatry residents: Dr. Abrar, Dr. Mrinmayee, Dr. Trupti and Dr. Vishakha, depicting a student experiencing suicidal ideation and presenting to the casualty department at MLDT Hospital.

The session was led by Dr. Chinmay Walavalkar and Dr. Tanvir Sheikh, Assistant Professors, Department of Psychiatry, MLDMHI, who guided the participants through different aspects of understanding and responding to such situations in a clinical setting.

The session created space for questions, discussion and reflection around an important aspect of mental health care.

What makes a dissertation journey easier to navigate? Sometimes, it starts with learning from those who have already been through it.

On 11 September 2026, the Department of Practice of Medicine at MLDMHI, Palghar, conducted a Peer Learning Session on the Dissertation Journey for Senior PG Residents (Part 2) and Junior PG Residents (Middle Batch).

The session, centred on “Peer Learning & Reflective Sharing - Navigating the Dissertation Journey,” created a space for senior residents to share their experiences of dissertation work, including the steps involved, practical challenges and approaches that can help during planning and ex*****on.

For junior residents, the interaction provided an opportunity to ask questions, gain practical perspectives and approach their own dissertation journey with greater clarity.

Facilitated by Dr. Shama Rao (HOD), Dr. Harshla Sarvagod, Dr. Sonam Tiwari Mishra, and Dr. Namrata Pandey, the session reflected the value of peer learning as part of postgraduate academic development.

Experience shared. Questions explored. Learnings carried forward.

📚Teacher’s Day Celebrations at MLDMHI, Palghar.

As part of the Teacher’s Day celebration, a special lecture was conducted by Dr. Anand R. Kapse on the topic “Education of Head, Heart & Hand”.

The lecture explored a holistic perspective on education, inspired by the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda and Sri Aurobindo.

The lecture was attended by faculty members as well as senior MD residents and provided an opportunity for meaningful academic reflection and discussion.
