English Medium Higher Secondary School belongs to the Muslim Educational Society, a charitable organization, established in the year 1964 by a team of Philanthropists under the president ship of Dr.P.K.Abdul Gafoor. . English Medium Higher Secondary School, Olavakkode, is situated in the heart of Olavakkode Town, 5 kms away from Palakkad town. Started as a kindergarten in 1977 in a hired building, was later shifted to the present site in 1978, when 94 cents of land with a building was purchased by the late Kappungal Syed Alavi Haji for M.E.S Central Committee. and High School were also started. The school was approved as centre for SSLC Examination in 2004. The approval for Higher Secondary was obtained in 2005. Now M.E.S. English Medium Higher Secondary School, Olavakkode is one of the prestigious Co-educational state syllabus schools in Palakkad with well-built infrastructure, spacious campus and six school buses in the backdrop of pleasant learning environment. The School has 100 staff members (Teaching and Non Teaching) and 2100 students. In addition to the syllabus prescribed by the Government, Moral Science is also taught to ensure the Spiritual Welfare of the students. Career guidance classes, life orientation programmes, personality development programmes are conducted to enable the students to face the challenges of life.
