Kuriakose Mar Gregorios, the late lamented Metropolitan of the Kottayam Diocese is the patron saint of our College. Kuriakose Gregorios College, Pampady, situated on the- lush green 'Kilimala Kunnu', hardly a kilometer South-West of Alampally Junction, is a unique temple of higher learning in many respects. College had its humble beginnings, way back in 1981 in the ITC buildings at Pothenpuram, close to the sacred tomb of Pampady Thirumeni in whose hallowed name the college was established. On 14th September 1981, the foundation stone of the new college building was laid and within a year, the college was shifted to the new premises. The two decades that followed witnessed the success saga of the college. College has acquired fame and name as one of the best colleges under the Mahatma Gandhi University.
