A Field work project was organized by Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism, Amity University, Mumbai to Camps water Edge, Kanhe-Takawe Village, Dist- Pune. This was held on 01st May to 2nd May 2022. The trip was well organized and managed by Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism (AITT). 

A total of 34 students were part of the trip and were accompanied by 2 faculties. It was an all-round experience for the students in areas such as time management, situation handling, ability of decision-making, real-time handling of group, information gathering, communication skills, forest camping rules. Also, through Zip-Line, Kayaking, River swim they learn safety & security protocols of different adventure activities. Students not only learn above topics but also another vertical which is being responsible towards nature.

Various events were organized on the occasion of World Heritage Day by IQAC, Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism, Amity University, Mumbai in collaboration with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalay (CSMVS). The event was held on 18th April 2022, from 10:30 a.m. to 03:30 p.m. on Amity University Mumbai campus.
Prof. Dr. A.W Santosh Kumar, Dr. Divya Pandey and all other senior dignitaries then proceeded towards viewing the “Heritage Exhibition” curated by CSMVS officials along-with students of Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism.
Museum on Wheels” Bus was stationed at AUM campus, organized by the CSMVS museum. The theme of the Museum on Wheels Bus was the journey of sound through music, which showcased the heritage of music, highlighting the oldest musical instruments that were recreated from cave paintings. The Museum on Wheels also highlighted how we perceive the concept of sound.

An online talk show was organized by IQAC, Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism, Amity University, Mumbai in collaboration with Indiatourism, Mumbai- Ministry of Tourism, Government of India on the occasion of International Women’s Day, 2022. The theme of this year’s celebration was “Break the Bias”. The show was held on 08th March 2022, from 10:30 A.M to 01:00 P.M on online mode.

Ms. Bhavana Shinde, Assistant Director, Indiatourism, Mumbai delivered the welcome address, Ms. Joyatri Ray, Director, EQUATIONS, Bangalore stressed upon the importance of role of women in decision making in any organization, Dr. Ishani Choudhary, Board Member, Surfing Federation of India underlined the need to break various biases and pre-conceived stereotypes through surfing and Dr. Divya Pandey, Head, Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism, Amity University, Mumbai expressed the opportunities and challenges for women in academia.

Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism organized an “Extempore Competition on To***co Awareness” which was open for all the student batches of Amity University Mumbai. The event was held on online mode on MS – Teams from 11:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m on 28th February 2022. There were 65 attendees and 7 participants for the events, the student participants were provided topics on the spot and had five minutes to collect their thoughts and speak. All 7 participants expressed their opinions over the bad effects of To***co usage across various spheres such as, issues due to use of to***co in public places, long term effects, indirect effects, and much more. The students were judged by an external member.

Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism organized an “Alumni Talks – 1” session for all the student batches of Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism. The event was held on hybrid mode on MS – Teams from 01:00 p.m to 02:00 p.m on 25th February 2022. The alumni were students of BTTM course, batch of 2016-2020. It was a general interaction session, wherein alumni have shared their learning from their work experience in the industry.
