Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Pasighat Campus, successfully inaugurated the Raksha Soccer League 2026–27 on 22 September 2026 at the campus football pitch. The league aims to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline and a healthy competitive spirit among students through the game of football.

The Opening Ceremony was graced by Shri Thomas Ering, President, Arunachal Pradesh Football Players Association (APFPA), as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Partha Protim Sharma, Area Sales Manager (ASM), Coca-Cola, as the Guest of Honour.

The programme was presided over by Dr. Moirangmayum Sanjeev Singh, Campus Director, Rashtriya Raksha University, Pasighat Campus, who highlighted the importance of sports in fostering leadership, discipline, teamwork and overall personality development among students.

The tournament brings together seven participating teams and reflects the University's commitment to holistic student development through sports and extracurricular engagement.

The Rashtriya Raksha University, Pasighat Campus, proudly presents the Raksha Soccer League (RSL) 2026–27, a celebration of football, sportsmanship, teamwork, and competitive excellence.

Scheduled from 22nd to 30th September 2026, the tournament will bring together talented players and passionate football enthusiasts on a common platform to showcase their skills, determination, and team spirit. The league aims to foster camaraderie, healthy competition, leadership, discipline, and a vibrant sporting culture among participants.

This year's edition features seven competing clubs:

The 5-Day Online Basic Training Programme for Security Guards and MTS Personnel of NIELIT Agartala, Tripura, organised by Rashtriya Raksha University, Pasighat Campus, in collaboration with NIELIT Agartala, is designed to strengthen the foundational knowledge, professional competence and security awareness of personnel responsible for maintaining a safe, secure and disciplined institutional environment. Scheduled from 21st to 25th September 2026, the programme comprises 15 expert-led online sessions covering key areas such as professional conduct, communication, legal awareness, security policies and SOPs, access control, visitor management, perimeter protection, patrolling, CCTV and surveillance, fire safety, emergency response, crowd management, first aid, incident reporting and evidence preservation. The programme seeks to enhance participants’ understanding of their roles and responsibilities, improve workplace discipline and communication, and develop greater preparedness to respond effectively to routine security challenges and emergencies.

A significant step towards modernising law enforcement in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Arunachal Pradesh Police and Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) have renewed their partnership through a revised Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on specialised training, research, capacity building and professional development.

The MoU was signed on 11 September 2026 at the Police Headquarters (PHQ), Chandranagar, Itanagar, by Dr. S. D. Singh Jamwal, IPS, Director General of Police, Arunachal Pradesh, and Dr. Sanjeev Moirangmayum Singh, Campus Director, Pasighat Campus, RRU.

Under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu Ji, this collaboration will promote a skilled, modern and citizen-centric police force equipped to address emerging challenges with professionalism and competence.

4 September 2026 | RRU Pasighat Campus had the privilege of welcoming Shri Prakash Ranjan Mishra, Additional Director, Narcotic Control Bureau Guwahati Zonal Unit.

During his visit, we had a fruitful interaction aimed at exploring and strengthening institutional collaboration between RRU Pasighat Campus and NCB Guwahati in areas such as training and capacity building, conferences and seminars, research and development, academic exchange, and knowledge sharing.

The discussion also included a formal exchange of views on the prevailing situation and emerging challenges in the North-East, particularly concerning drug-related issues, and explored collaborative ideas and strategies to address and deter these challenges.
