R.R.M.K Arya Mahila Mahavidyalaya is managed by the ARYA VIDYA SABHA (Regd), Which apart from this institution, is also managing three other institutions, viz, Arya Senior Secondary School for boys, Arya Senior Secondary School for Girls and Smt. To impart higher education to the Girls of the town and sub-urban areas Arya National Academy was formed as a offshoot of Arya Girls Higher Secondary Sch

ool by Mrs.S.Mohan, former Principal of the School.Initially it was given place in huts and cottages. Credit goes to the eminent Kalra family of the town whose senior members,revered Late Sh.Ram Rakha Mal Kalra Ji donated Rs.One Lakh towards the construction of the rooms for Teaching block and thus shaped it into the college. The embryonic Arya National Academy evolved into R.R.M.K Arya Mahila Mahavidyalaya Pathankot.In 1969,due to ardent efforts of the Arya Vidya Sabha,the college got affiliated to Punjab University for pre-university and B.A part I,II,III and in the June 30,1970 its affiliation was transfereed to Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. The college is near Shahpur chowk .It meets all the requirements of healthy atmosphere to enhance the grasping power of the students.It has Spacious classrooms,sufficient furniture, a well equipped library,gymnasium,two N.S.S units, fitness centre and adequate medical facilities. The college is established as an Associate Institute Of G.N.D.U under Distance Education for M.A (English, Hindi, Pol Science, Economics, Punjabi) classes . During the last 39 years the college has made tremendous progress under the able guidance of Late. Jeevan Lal Verma, Late Sh.Kuldip Chand, Late Sh Achaar Mal Verma,Late Sh. Payare Lal, Late Sh. G.L Gupta, presently this institution is flourishing under the assiduous efforts of Sh.B.R Kalra ,Sh Ramesh Aggarwal and other members of the managing committee. With the benign blessings of our worthy patrons we have a long list of students to our credit who have won awards and medals at University, State, National level and International Level.
