A dedicated team belonging to Thapar University who have proved there wit by designing and fabricating an electric vehicle completely by themselves and thereby winning the best design award in the competition Effi car 2016, held at UIET Chandigarh. The initial team comprised of 12 members who excelled in the departments allotted to them. Seniors being well placed itself an example how sound their
technical skills were. This was all possible only with the invaluable inputs and under the able guidance of Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, our faculty advisor. In the very short span of time the column of achievements has risen profusely. Firstly it has been covered by various newspapers and praised by a number of high end personalities of the university namely: The Chairman; Group Vice president, Human resources, Avantha Group; MD- Schneider Electric The Director; Dean of student affairs; Head of Mechanical Engineering department.
