ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਫਾਰ ਗਰਲਜ਼, ਆਕੜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ‘ਮੇਲਾ ਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ’ ਬੜੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਰੰਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਅਮੀਰ ਲੋਕ-ਵਿਰਾਸਤ, ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਰਸਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ-ਕਲਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਫੁੱਲਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਜੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਵੀਸ਼ਰੀ, ਲੋਕ-ਗੀਤ, ਕਿੱਕਲੀ, ਗਿੱਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਰੰਗ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਰੰਗ-ਬਿਰੰਗੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੀ ਰੌਣਕ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੁੱਚਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਅਤ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਅਮੀਰ ਲੋਕ-ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ, ਲੋਕ-ਗੀਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਕਲਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਝਲਕ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਤੇਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਪੂਰਵਕ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਅਮੀਰ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ, ਮਾਂ-ਬੋਲੀ, ਲੋਕ-ਗੀਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਕਦਰਾਂ-ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਕਲਚਰਲ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਨੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਰੰਗ-ਬਿਰੰਗੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਿਆਂ, ਲੋਕ-ਨਾਚਾਂ, ਲੋਕ-ਗੀਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਜਿਆ ਇਹ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਦੀ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਝਲਕ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਭ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਯਾਦਗਾਰ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।

Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College for Girls, Aakar (Patiala) organized a special programme on 13 August 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in B1 (Seminar Hall) to commemorate Independence Day and International Youth Day and to promote the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The programme was organized by the Political Science Course in collaboration with NSS and IQAC. Asst. Prof. Harleen Kaur, NSS Programme Officer of the college, actively contributed to the organization and successful conduct of the programme.
The programme commenced with an address by the Political Science Course Incharge, who dedicated the opening address to the freedom fighters of India. The address highlighted their courage, sacrifices and invaluable contribution to India's freedom struggle. Students were encouraged to remember the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and to uphold the values of patriotism, unity and responsible citizenship.
Following this, Asst. Prof. Harleen Kaur, NSS Programme Officer of the college, addressed the gathering on International Youth Day and the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Campaign. She highlighted the significant role of youth in nation-building and emphasized the importance of making healthy, responsible and positive choices. She motivated students to stay away from substance abuse and contribute towards creating a healthy and drug-free society. She also emphasized the role of young people in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The formal addresses were followed by a vibrant cultural programme presented by the students. The performances reflected patriotic feelings, national pride and the enthusiasm of the youth. The cultural segment added colour and energy to the celebration and encouraged students to express their creativity and sense of national responsibility.
A quiz competition was subsequently organized for the students. The competition provided an engaging platform for students to enhance their knowledge and awareness regarding India's freedom struggle, national values, youth issues and social responsibilities. Students participated enthusiastically and demonstrated their knowledge and competitive spirit.
The programme was further enriched by the address of the Principal, Dr. Gurtej Singh. He appreciated the efforts of the Political Science Course, NSS and IQAC in organizing the programme. He encouraged students to become responsible citizens, remain committed to positive social values and actively contribute to the development of the nation.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem, which filled the gathering with a strong sense of patriotism, unity and national pride.
Overall, the programme was successfully conducted and served as an effective platform for promoting patriotism, youth empowerment, social responsibility and awareness against drug abuse. It reinforced the message that the youth are an important force in shaping a strong, responsible and Viksit Bharat by 2047.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਫਾਰ ਗਰਲਜ਼, ਆਕੜ (ਪਟਿਆਲਾ) ਵਿਖੇ 13 ਅਗਸਤ 2026 ਨੂੰ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 2:00 ਵਜੇ B1 (ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ ਹਾਲ) ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਦਿਵਸ, ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਯੁਵਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਭਾਰਤ ਅਭਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ “Youth for Viksit Bharat 2047” ਰਿਹਾ।
ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਪੋਲਿਟੀਕਲ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਕੋਰਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ NSS ਅਤੇ IQAC ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ NSS ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅਫਸਰ ਅਸਿਸਟੈਂਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਹਰਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਲਈ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ।
ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਪੋਲਿਟੀਕਲ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਕੋਰਸ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਘੁਲਾਟੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ, ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਘੁਲਾਟੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਦਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਨਿਭਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਸਿਸਟੈਂਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਹਰਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ, NSS ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅਫਸਰ, ਨੇ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਯੁਵਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਭਾਰਤ ਅਭਿਆਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਪਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰਹਿਣ, ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਫੈਲਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ 2047 ਤੱਕ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ’ਤੇ ਵੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਗਤੀ, ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਏਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੋਸ਼ ਦੀ ਝਲਕ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੀ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਗਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੁਇਜ਼ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਮ ਗਿਆਨ, ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼, ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮੁੱਲਾਂ, ਯੁਵਾ ਮਸਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਤੇਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੋਲਿਟਿਟੀਕਲ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਕੋਰਸ, NSS ਅਤੇ IQAC ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਬਣਨ, ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਮੁੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਗੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਹੋਈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਗਤੀ, ਏਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮਾਣ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੋਈ।
ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਗਤੀ, ਯੁਵਾ ਸਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਰਨ, ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫਲ ਰਿਹਾ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ 2047 ਤੱਕ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਫ਼ਾਰ ਗਰਲਜ਼, ਆਕੜ (ਪਟਿਆਲਾ) ਦੀ ਬੀਬੀ ਹਰਨਾਮ ਕੌਰ ਨਾਭਾ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ IQAC ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ 12 ਅਗਸਤ 2026 ਨੂੰ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 12:00 ਵਜੇ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਤੇਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਗਿਆਨ, ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਜ ਦਾ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਯਮਿਤ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਦੀ ਆਦਤ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ IQAC ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ ਡਾ. ਰਵਨੀਤ ਰਿਹਾਨ, ਡਾ. ਜਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ, ਸਹਾਇਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਸਹਾਇਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਨਵਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਸਹਾਇਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਸਤਵੰਤ ਕੌਰ, ਸਹਾਇਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਫ਼ੈਸਰ ਕਮਲਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀਅਨ ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰਪੂਰਵਕ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਡਾ. ਜਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੀਬੀ ਹਰਨਾਮ ਕੌਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਦੀ ਰੁਚੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ, ਗਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਜੋਂ 'ਪੁਸਤਕ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ' ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿਚ ਪੀ. ਜੀ. ਡਿਪਲੋਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਸ਼ਮੀਨ, ਬੀ. ਸੀ. ਏ. ਦੀ ਸਹਿਜਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਬੀ. ਏ. ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ। ਯੂ. ਜੀ. ਅਤੇ ਪੀ. ਜੀ. ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਫ਼ੈਸਰ ਸਤਵੰਤ ਕੌਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾਦਾਇਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾਪੂਰਵਕ ਸੰਪੰਨ ਹੋਇਆ।

Participation in State-Level HIV/AIDS Awareness Programme

A State-Level HIV/AIDS Awareness Programme was organized by the Punjab State AIDS Control Society (PSACS) in collaboration with the NSS Department, Punjabi University, Patiala at Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hall, Punjabi University, Patiala. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Malkiat Singh Mann, Assistant Director Youth Services, Patiala.
The event was graced by Hon'ble Health Minister of Punjab, Dr. Balbir Singh, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of HIV/AIDS awareness, preventive healthcare, voluntary blood donation, and the active role of youth in creating a healthy and informed society. He motivated the students to spread awareness and contribute towards social well-being.
Representing Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College for Girls, Aakar, Patiala, Assistant Professor Harleen Kaur, Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club, along with Assistant Professor Arshjot Kaur, RRC Member, and Lecturer Rajinder Kaur, Eco Club Member, attended the programme with 35 student volunteers. The volunteers actively participated in the awareness sessions and gained valuable knowledge regarding HIV/AIDS prevention, stigma reduction, and health promotion.
The programme provided a meaningful platform for students to interact with experts and strengthen their commitment towards community service and public health awareness.
Principal Dr. Gurtej Singh appreciated the efforts of the Punjab State AIDS Control Society, NSS Department, Punjabi University, Patiala, and the participating faculty members and volunteers for their enthusiastic participation in such socially relevant programmes.

ਰਾਜ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਐਚ.ਆਈ.ਵੀ./ਏਡਜ਼ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਟੇਟ ਏਡਜ਼ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ (PSACS) ਵੱਲੋਂ ਐਨ.ਐੱਸ.ਐੱਸ. ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ (ਜੀ.ਟੀ.ਬੀ.) ਹਾਲ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਡਾ. ਮਲਕੀਅਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ, ਸਹਾਇਕ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਯੁਵਾ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮਾਣਯੋਗ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਨ। ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਐਚ.ਆਈ.ਵੀ./ਏਡਜ਼ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ, ਸਿਹਤ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ, ਸਵੈ-ਇੱਛੁਕ ਖੂਨਦਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਜ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਹਤ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਵਰਗ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਫਾਰ ਗਰਲਜ਼, ਆਕੜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਰੈੱਡ ਰਿਬਨ ਕਲੱਬ ਦੀ ਨੋਡਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਹਰਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ, ਸਹਾਇਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਅਰਸ਼ਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ (ਆਰ.ਆਰ.ਸੀ. ਮੈਂਬਰ) ਅਤੇ ਲੈਕਚਰਾਰ ਰਾਜਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ (ਈਕੋ ਕਲੱਬ ਮੈਂਬਰ) ਨੇ 35 ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਪੂਰਵਕ ਸੈਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਐਚ.ਆਈ.ਵੀ./ਏਡਜ਼ ਦੀ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ, ਭੇਦਭਾਵ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਸੇਵਾ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਮੰਚ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਤੇਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਟੇਟ ਏਡਜ਼ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ, ਐਨ.ਐੱਸ.ਐੱਸ. ਵਿਭਾਗ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਉਪਰਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਦੱਸਿਆ।

NSS Orientation & Registration Programme

Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College for Girls, Aakar (Patiala), organized an NSS Orientation and Registration Programme for the newly admitted undergraduate students on 11 August 2026 under the direction of Dr. Anhad Singh Gill, NSS Coordinator.
The orientation aimed to familiarize the new students with the National Service Scheme (NSS), its governing body, logo, motto “Not Me But You,” significance and role in developing socially responsible citizens. The students were also apprised of the objectives and importance of NSS, including community service, personality development, leadership development, social awareness, skill enhancement and volunteer opportunities.
The students were guided about the NSS registration process through the My Bharat Portal and were informed about the various benefits of joining NSS, including opportunities for community engagement, leadership development, skill development, participation in social awareness activities and recognized certificates.
Dr. Gurtej Singh, Principal, addressed the students and delivered motivating words, encouraging them to join NSS with commitment and enthusiasm and to contribute meaningfully towards society and nation-building.
The programme was conducted by Assistant Professor Harleen Kaur, Programme Officer, NSS, who coordinated and facilitated the entire orientation activity. Assistant Professor Arshjot Kaur, Member NSS, managed the attendance and collected feedback from the newly enrolled volunteers.
The programme successfully motivated the new students to become active NSS volunteers and understand their role in community service, social responsibility and nation-building.

ਇਸ ਓਰੀਐਂਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਯੋਜਨਾ, ਇਸ ਦੀ ਗਵਰਨਿੰਗ ਬਾਡੀ, ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸਦੇ ਲੋਗੋ, ਮੋਟੋ “ ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤੁਸੀਂ”, ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ। ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਾਜ ਸੇਵਾ, ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸੀਅਤ ਵਿਕਾਸ, ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਕਾਸ, ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ, ਹੁਨਰ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।
ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਈ ਭਾਰਤ ਪੋਰਟਲ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ ਰਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨ ਦੇ ਲਾਭਾਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਸਮਾਜ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ, ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਵਿਕਾਸ, ਹੁਨਰ ਵਿਕਾਸ, ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਮੌਕਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਤੇਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾਦਾਇਕ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਰਥਪੂਰਨ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਪੂਰੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀ ਦਾ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਅਸਿਸਟੈਂਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਹਰਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਅਸਿਸਟੈਂਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਅਰਸ਼ਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ, ਮੈਂਬਰ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ, ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਵੇਂ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਫੀਡਬੈਕ ਵੀ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਓਰੀਐਂਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਸੇਵਾ, ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਫਲਤਾਪੂਰਵਕ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
