✨ IdeaSpark 1.0 | Igniting Innovation at A.N. College, Patna ✨

The Start-Up Cell of A.N. College, Patna successfully organised IdeaSpark 1.0 with the vision of providing a vibrant platform for students to present groundbreaking ideas and innovative solutions to real-world challenges. The event aimed to foster a startup mindset, creativity, and problem-solving skills among students.

Prof. Rekha Rani, Hon’ble Principal, A.N. College, Patna, appreciated the initiative taken by the Coordinator Prof. Tripti Gangwar and emphasized that such platforms empower students to showcase innovative ideas in emerging domains like AI, IoT, Robotics, Clean Technology, and more.

The event was open to students from various departments, and 16 teams presented innovative ideas on themes such as Mess Cloud Kitchen, AI Interview Pro, Smart Class, Notice Hub, Health@Home, Global Revolution in Health Sector, Improving Civic Sense: A Collective Responsibility, Campus Care Nature, UNIQUCOPY, Kaamwale, SwasthaSetu, among others.

The judging process evaluated ideas on innovation, feasibility, social impact, and presentation skills. The judging panel included

Dr. Nisha Kumari, Dr. Abhishek Dutta, and other faculty members were present to motivate and inspire the students.

*डॉ. अखिलेश प्रसाद सिंह की ए एन कॉलेज, पटना में भावपूर्ण भ्रमण! 🎉*

सांसद बनने के बाद भी अपने पुराने कॉलेज, ए एन कॉलेज पटना, में डॉ. अखिलेश प्रसाद सिंह का आगमन हुआ। भौतिकी विभाग के शिक्षक के रूप में अपनी सेवाएं देने वाले डॉ. सिंह ने लियन पर रहते हुए भी कॉलेज के विकास में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया है।

कॉलेज पहुंचते ही उन्होंने अनुग्रह बाबू की मूर्ति पर माल्यार्पण कर श्रद्धांजलि दी, जो उनके सरोकार और आदर को दर्शाता है। इसके बाद वे अपने विभाग में गए, जहां शिक्षकों और कर्मचारियों से मुलाकात की और उनका हाल-चाल जाना।

डॉ. सिंह ने कहा, "कॉलेज के विकास में मेरी भूमिका आगे भी जारी रहेगी। मैं हमेशा अपने कॉलेज और छात्रों के साथ खड़ा रहूंगा।" उनकी इस भावना से कॉलेज परिवार में उत्साह और सहयोग की भावना और भी प्रबल हुई है।

📐 National Mathematics Day Celebration | 22 December 2025 📐

The Department of Mathematics, A.N. College, Patna celebrated National Mathematics Day with great enthusiasm and academic spirit to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.

As part of the celebration, a Quiz Competition and a Poster Making Competition (theme-based) were organized. A large number of undergraduate and postgraduate students from different semesters actively participated, showcasing their mathematical knowledge, analytical ability, and creativity.

The programme was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Rekha Rani, Principal, A.N. College, Patna, and Guest of Honour Prof. S. K. Mishra, Head, PG Department of Mathematics, Patliputra University. Both dignitaries were felicitated by the Head of the Department, Dr. Manish Kumar.
Prof. S. K. Mishra delivered an inspiring talk highlighting the life, work, and timeless contributions of Srinivasa Ramanujan.

जब विचार बने आवाज़, पोस्टर बने संदेश और हाथ जुड़े संकल्प में” : ए. एन. कॉलेज, पटना में मानवाधिकार दिवस का सार्थक उत्सव


9 एवं 10 दिसंबर 2025 को ए. एन. कॉलेज, पटना में मानवाधिकार दिवस के अवसर पर दो दिवसीय कार्यक्रम का आयोजन राजनीति विज्ञान विभाग द्वारा किया गया, जिसमें मानवाधिकारों के प्रति जागरूकता, संवेदनशीलता एवं सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व के लिए सशक्त बनाने की बात की गई ।प्रथम दिवस (9 दिसंबर) को भाषण एवं प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। भाषण प्रतियोगिता का विषय “डिजिटल स्पेस और मानवाधिकार” रहा। प्रतियोगिता में स्नातक एवं स्नातकोत्तर दोनों वर्गों के छात्रों ने उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन किया।उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाले प्रतिभागियों को सम्मानित किया गया। द्वितीय दिवस (10 दिसंबर) को आयोजित मानव शृंखला कार्यक्रम का आकर्षण केंद्र रहा। इसके साथ ही पोस्टर एवं नारालेखन प्रतियोगिता से यह संदेश दिया गया कि मानवाधिकार की रक्षा सामूहिक चेतना से ही संभव है। कार्यक्रम में कॉलेज की प्राचार्या प्रो. रेखा रानी ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि मानवाधिकार किसी व्यवस्था से नहीं, बल्कि एक जागरूक समाज की चेतना से जीवित रहती हैं। कार्यक्रम में पाटलिपुत्र विश्वविद्यालय के राजनीति विज्ञान विभागाध्यक्ष प्रो. बिमल प्रसाद, हिंदी विभागाध्यक्ष प्रो. कलानाथ मिश्रा, आईक्यूएसी समन्वयक प्रो. तृप्ति गंगवार तथा राजनीति विज्ञान विभागाध्यक्ष प्रो. बिनोद झा के साथ ही विभाग के शिक्षक डॉ. संजय कुमार,. डॉ. कौसर तसनीम , डॉ. ऋचा गौतम एवं डॉ. मुकेश झा कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित रहे। स्नातक वर्ग से ऋषिका, सोनिका एवं पायल, जबकि स्नातकोत्तर वर्ग से निशु एवं हिमांशु ने विशेष प्रभाव छोड़ा। अन्य छात्रों की सहभागिता भी सराहनीय रही।

With a view to promote the ideals of family planning, Sehat Kendra, A.N. College, Patna, organised a rally on 09th Dec, 2025 to encourage greater male participation in family planning as part of the nationwide NSV Fortnight Programme. Participants raised awareness slogans highlighting the importance of No-Scalpel Vasectomy (NSV), a simple, safe, low-cost, and minimally invasive permanent contraceptive method for men.

Despite its advantages, the uptake of NSV in India remains low due to persistent myths, misinformation, and traditional gender norms that place the responsibility of contraception primarily on women. The rally aimed to challenge these misconceptions, particularly the unfounded belief that NSV adversely affects male health. Increased male participation through NSV would significantly lessen the reproductive health burden borne by women.

The rally was inaugurated by Prof. Rekha Rani, Principal of A.N. College, in the presence of Prof. Tripti Gangwar, IQAC coordinator, Dr. Amrita Chakraborty, In-Charge of Sehat Kendra and other faculty members. During the event, students interacted with street vendors and shopkeepers of the Shivpuri market area to sensitize them about the importance of adopting NSV as a responsible family planning option for men.

Rajya Swasthya Samiti, Bihar, has undertaken several initiatives to enhance male participation in family planning through NSV, recognising its potential societal benefits. Our NSS volunteers effectively communicated these messages to the public, in alignment with the guidelines of the Government of Bihar.

इनर व्हील क्लब्स पटना के सौजन्य से अर्थशास्त्र विभाग एवं एन.एस.एस., ए.एन. कॉलेज, पटना के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में "नशीली दवाओं एवं मादक पदार्थों के दुरुपयोग के विरुद्ध जागरूकता" विषय पर एक संगोष्ठी का आयोजन दिनांक 08 दिसंबर 2025 को दोपहर 12:00 से 02:00 बजे तक लाइब्रेरी हॉल में किया गया।

कार्यक्रम के मुख्य वक्ता डॉ. निखिल गोयल ने नशे की बढ़ती प्रवृत्ति, इसके शारीरिक-मनोवैज्ञानिक दुष्प्रभाव एवं सामाजिक परिणामों पर विस्तारपूर्वक चर्चा की। उन्होंने युवाओं को नशे से दूर रहने और स्वस्थ जीवनशैली अपनाने का संदेश दिया।

अतिथियों का स्वागत अर्थशास्त्र विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ. अनिल नाथ एवं प्रो. कुमारी वीणा ने किया।एनएसएस के कार्यक्रम पदाधिकारी डॉ. नवीन कुमार ने युवाओं से नशीली दवाओं एवं मादक पदार्थों के नुकसान के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाने का आवाहन किया।
कार्यक्रम में इनर व्हील क्लब की सदस्याएँ, अर्थशास्त्र विभाग एवं अन्य विभागों के शिक्षकगण, एन.एस.एस. स्वयंसेवक, तथा बड़ी संख्या में छात्र-छात्राएँ उपस्थित रहे।

संगोष्ठी के दौरान विद्यार्थियों ने विषय से जुड़े महत्वपूर्ण प्रश्न पूछे और नशा-मुक्त समाज के निर्माण के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त की।

कार्यक्रम सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न हुआ और अंत में सभी अतिथियों, शिक्षकों एवं प्रतिभागियों के प्रति धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया गया।

In the Patliputra University Inter-College Cricket Tournament 2025–26, A.N. College, Patna delivered an outstanding performance in the final match by defeating B.D. College, Patna by 102 runs.For his remarkable performance, Abhishek Kumar of A.N. College was awarded the Man of the Match. Abhishek scored an excellent 66 runs and also took one wicket.

The Principal, Prof. Rekha Rani, Sports In-charge Dr. Abhishek Dutta, and member of the Athletics Society Dr. Sanjay Singh congratulated the A.N. College cricket team on this splendid victory and extended their best wishes for the players’ bright future.

*वंदे मातरम के 150 वर्ष पूरे होने पर ए० एन० कॉलेज पटना में सामूहिक गान एवं नेत्र जांच शिविर का आयोजन*
*पटना। ए० एन० कॉलेज* राष्ट्रीय गीत वन्दे मातरम के 150 वर्ष पूरे होने के उपलक्ष्य में आज दिनांक 06-12-2025 को ए० एन० कॉलेज पटना के पुस्तकालय सभागार में एन० एस० एस० यूनिट द्वारा सामूहिक गायन तथा शंकर ज्योति नेत्रालय के डॉ० गौतम कुमार एवं उनके टीम द्वारा नेत्र जांच शिविर का आयोजन किया गया।
इस अवसर पर महाविद्यालय की प्राचार्या डॉ० रेखा रानी ने वंदे मातरम गीत के इतिहास पर अपने विचारों को रखा। उन्होंने कहा कि 150 वर्ष पूरे होने का यह अवसर भारत के सांस्कृतिक और ऐतिहासिक यात्रा का स्वर्णिम अध्याय है। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों से भारतीय परंपरा, सांस्कृति और एकता के मूल्यों को समझने और जीवन में अपनाने का आह्वान किया। हिंदी विभाग के अध्यक्ष प्रो० कलानाथ मिश्र वंदे मातरम गीत पर अपने विचारों को रखते हुए कहा वंदे मातरम केवल एक राष्ट्रीय गीत नहीं बल्कि यह भारत की आत्मा और गौरव का जीवंत प्रतीक है। आई० क्यू० ए० सी० कॉर्डिनेटर प्रो० तृप्ति गंगवार ने वंदे मातरम गीत की ऐतिहासिक पृष्ठभूमि पर सार्थक वक्तव्य प्रस्तुत किया। राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना के कार्यक्रम पदाधिकारी डॉ० नवीन कुमार ने वंदे मातरम गीत पर अपनी बात रखते हुए कहा वंदे मातरम की भावना हमें जड़ों से जोड़े रखने, राष्ट्रीय एकता को सशक्त बनाने और मातृभूमि के प्रति समर्पण की प्रेरणा देता है। प्रो० विनोद कुमार झा ने कहा कि वंदे मातरम गायन हम सबों में एकता की भावना और राष्ट्र के मूल्यों के प्रति उनका मान-सम्मान अभिव्यक्त करना है। इस अवसर पर डॉ० संजय कुमार सिंह, डॉ० अनिल नाथ, डॉ० वीणा कुमारी, डॉ० संजय सिंह, डॉ० कुमार वरूण, डॉ० अमृता चक्रवर्ती, डॉ० मृणालिनी, डॉ० प्रेरणा पुष्प, डॉ० कुमकुम रानी, डॉ० नवनीत कुमार, डॉ० कौशर उपस्थिति रहें।

To observe the ‘World Aids Day’ on 1st December 2025 a delegation of 25 NSS volunteers, under the guidance of Dr. Navin Kumar, NSS Programme Officer, has actively participated from A. N. College, Patna in Red-Ribbon walk organised by BSACS for creating awareness about HIV among people. The rally has started from Eco Park gate no. 2 and marched towards Veer Kanwar Singh park in the morning. On their way to Veer Kanwar Singh park have touched Bikash Bhawan, Bihar State Assembly House and Hotel Chanakya (R Block). The theme of this year for World Aids Day has “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response.”



To commemorate ‘World AIDS Day’ on 1st December 2025, a delegation of 25 NSS volunteers from A. N. College, Patna, under the guidance of Dr. Navin Kumar, NSS Programme Officer, actively participated in the Red Ribbon Walk organized by Bihar State Aids Control Society (BSACS) to spread awareness about HIV among the public.

The rally commenced from Eco Park (Gate No. 2) and proceeded towards Veer Kanwar Singh Park in the morning. During the march, the participants passed through Bikash Bhawan, Bihar State Assembly House, and Hotel Chanakya (R Block), engaging with people along the route.

The theme for this year’s World AIDS Day was “Overcoming Disruption, Transforming the AIDS Response.”
