The Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous, organized an educational visit to Bapu Tower, Patna, on 2nd and 3rd October 2026 for the First Semester students of B.Ed. 2026–28.
The visit provided students with an opportunity to learn about Mahatma Gandhi’s life, philosophy, and contributions through an engaging experiential experience. The students explored the exhibits and reflected on Gandhian values of truth, non-violence, simplicity, and social responsibility.
The visit served as a meaningful learning experience, helping students connect Gandhian principles with contemporary life and education.

The Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous, organized a special morning assembly on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, on the theme “Change Begins Within”, highlighting Gandhiji’s ideals of truth, non-violence, self-discipline, and personal transformation, on 1st October 2026.
The assembly began with a floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, followed by the rendition of his favourite bhajan, “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram.” The Head of the Department, Dr. Sister M. Saroj A.C., addressed the gathering and reflected on the relevance of Gandhian values in students’ academic and personal lives.
Students presented thematic speeches on personal accountability and self-transformation, while a Nukkad Natak portrayed the importance of peaceful conflict resolution and inner conscience. The programme concluded with a self-composed oath, followed by the National Anthem.

तापेंदू इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ हायर स्टडीज में 29 सितंबर 2026 को हिंदी पखवाड़े के समापन के उपलक्ष्य में एक भव्य अंतर-महाविद्यालय वाद-विवाद प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। इस प्रतियोगिता में पटना के कई प्रतिष्ठित शिक्षक प्रशिक्षण महाविद्यालयों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया।
प्रतियोगिता का मुख्य विषय "आज के परिप्रेक्ष्य में तुलसी और कबीर की रचनाओं के अध्ययन की प्रासंगिकता" था। कार्यक्रम में कुल 36 प्रतिभागियों ने हिस्सा लिया।
पटना विमेंस कॉलेज, शिक्षा विभाग (Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous) की ओर से पक्ष में सुरभि कुमारी ने अपना प्रभावशाली वक्तव्य रखा, जबकि विपक्ष में सौम्या साक्षी ने उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करते हुए द्वितीय स्थान प्राप्त किया। सभी प्रतिभागियों को हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ!

The Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous, organized a Reel Making Competition for first semester B. Ed. students (session 2026-28), on 26th September 2026, as part of the Season of Creation 2026 celebration. The competition was based on the theme “One Earth, One Water, One Life”, encouraging students to creatively communicate the importance of water conservation and ecological responsibility.
A total of nine participants took part in the competition and presented their ideas through short, creative reels highlighting the significance of water and the need to protect our shared environment.
The results were as follows: Vaishnavi secured the First Position, Ashikan Soy the Second Position, and Vishveshvari the Third Position.

The Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous, organized a Yoga Session on “Water: The Breath of Creation” on 21st September 2026 as part of the Season of Creation, focusing on water literacy, well-being, and ecological responsibility. The session was conducted by Ms. Yamini, Assistant Professor, Department of Education.
The session explored the significance of water balance in the body, including the source and active points associated with water and the effects of excess or insufficient water. Participants were introduced to Sheetali, Sheetkari and Chandra Bhedi Pranayama for maintaining balance and well-being.
The session also covered Varun Mudra and Jalodhar Nashak Mudra, followed by a practical yoga session. The programme concluded with meditation, providing participants with an opportunity for reflection and inner balance while reinforcing the deeper connection between personal well-being and the significance of water.

The Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous, organized an awareness programme on 19 September 2026 as part of the Swachh Sagar Suraksh*t Sagar (SSSS) 5.0 Campaign, which focuses on ocean health and collective action against marine litter, particularly plastic waste, in accordance with National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE F.No. 1-21/2024-IS.20).
The programme featured a PowerPoint presentation titled “Choking Ocean”, highlighting the growing threat posed by plastic pollution to marine ecosystems, along with a documentary on ocean plastic pollution, “Oceans of Plastics.” The presentation and documentary sensitized the trainees to the consequences of marine pollution and the need for responsible consumption and waste management.
The event ended with a pledge taken by the students and staff to preserve natural resources and contribute towards sustainable India.

शिक्षा विभाग, पटना वीमेंस कॉलेज स्वायत्त (Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous) द्वारा 1–14 सितम्बर 2026 तक हिन्दी पखवाड़ा उत्साहपूर्वक मनाया गया। इस वर्ष का केंद्रीय विषय “भाषाओं का कलरव है हिन्दी” रहा। प्रशिक्षु शिक्षिकाओं (सत्र 2025–27) ने इंटर्नशिप के दौरान विभिन्न सरकारी एवं निजी विद्यालयों में उन्मुखीकरण, पीपीटी प्रस्तुति, निबंध, आशुभाषण तथा प्रतिदिन मुहावरों की सीख जैसी विविध गतिविधियों के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों को सक्रिय रूप से जोड़ा।
पखवाड़े का उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों में हिन्दी के प्रति प्रेम, सम्मान एवं अभिव्यक्ति-कौशल विकसित करना था। विभिन्न गतिविधियों ने उनकी रचनात्मकता, त्वरित सोच और भाषा-कौशल को प्रोत्साहित किया।

The Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous, organized an assembly on “Living Water: Every Drop is Sacred” as part of the Season of Creation, focusing on water literacy and ecological responsibility, on 15th September 2026.
The programme began with silent meditation and prayer, invoking the Rigvedic verse “आपो हि ष्ठा मयोभुवः”- “Water is verily the source of joy and sustenance.” The reflection emphasized water as the sacred foundation of life, connecting traditional wisdom with contemporary conservation practices.
The assembly featured poetry, a data-driven presentation on global and national water crises, a short theatrical performance highlighting water wastage and scarcity, and an acoustic guitar performance celebrating the beauty of water bodies. The programme concluded with faculty and students taking an oath to prevent water wastage and promote sustainability, followed by the National Anthem.

Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous द्वारा हिन्दी पखवाड़ा 2026 के अंतर्गत 14 सितम्बर 2026 को “कालजयी रचनाओं का बाज़ार” विषय पर विज्ञापन प्रतियोगिता आयोजित की गई। प्रशिक्षु शिक्षिकाओं ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लेते हुए हिन्दी की अमर साहित्यिक कृतियों को रचनात्मक एवं रोचक विज्ञापन के रूप में प्रस्तुत किया।
प्रतियोगिता के निर्णायक मंडल में डॉ. रश्मि सिन्हा, डॉ. मधुमिता एवं मिस यामिनी शामिल रहीं। प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम पुरस्कार निर्मला की प्रस्तुति के लिए अंकिता, संगीता एवं श्यामली को, द्वितीय पुरस्कार रश्मिरथी के लिए वर्षा, राखी, मानसी एवं सौम्या को तथा तृतीय पुरस्कार गीतांजलि के लिए प्रियंवदा, आशिक़न, सिस्टर ज्योति एवं सिस्टर सुप्रिया को प्राप्त हुआ।
कार्यक्रम का संचालन सौम्या साक्षी एवं अलीशा मुकेश ने किया। डॉ. सिस्टर एम. सरोज ए.सी., डीन एवं विभागाध्यक्ष, ने छात्राओं की सक्रिय भागीदारी की सराहना करते हुए हिन्दी के प्रति उनके बढ़ते जुड़ाव, आत्मविश्वास एवं ज्ञानवृद्धि को रेखांकित किया। अदिति कुमारी के धन्यवाद ज्ञापन के साथ 14 दिवसीय हिन्दी पखवाड़े का सफल समापन हुआ।

The Department of Education, Patna Women's College Autonomous organised a Guest Lecture under Hindi Pakhwada 2026 on 12th September 2026 on the theme “Hindi ke Vikas main Lokbhashon ki Bhumika.” The guest lecture was delivered by Dr. Tarun Kumar, Retired Professor and former Head of the Department of Hindi, Patna University. He also served as former Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and former Principal of Patna College.
In his address, Dr. Kumar explained that Hindi is a collection of dialects and that languages and dialects evolve from villages and become refined through wider academic and social use. He noted that Urdu was once referred to as Rekhta and is also a common language. He further discussed folklore, describing it, with reference to Gandhi, as the literature of common people, while Lenin viewed folklore as material connected with their hopes and yearnings. He also observed that a significant part of folklore is associated with women. The address included references to Bhikhari Thakur’s Bidesiya and the importance of idioms and proverbs in demonstrating language proficiency. Referring to Russell, he described कहावत as a combination of the wisdom of many and the wit of one.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Nitu Chauhan, expressing gratitude to the guest, faculty members and trainees for their participation and contribution to the successful conduct of the programme.
