Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra – Patna Campus successfully concluded Skill Haat 2026, a month-long intensive training and placement readiness program organized by the Training and Placement Cell from May 11, 2026 to June 12, 2026.
The initiative was designed to equip students with industry-relevant technical and professional skills and witnessed enthusiastic participation from B.Tech students across various branches and semesters. The program comprised three major components: Data Structures & Algorithms with Competitive Coding, Machine Learning using Python with Live Projects, and Soft Skills & Personal Interview Preparation.
Throughout the program, students underwent rigorous hands-on training, coding practice sessions, project development activities, mock interviews, aptitude enhancement exercises, and placement-oriented mentoring. Special emphasis was laid on coding round preparation and project/profile building, two critical aspects of modern recruitment processes.
The Machine Learning track enabled participants to learn Python programming, data analysis, machine learning, deep learning fundamentals, and modern AI concepts including transformer-based models. Simultaneously, the DSA and Competitive Coding track strengthened students’ problem-solving abilities through extensive practice on industry-standard coding platforms and interview-focused programming challenges.
To assess learning outcomes, both pre-assessment and post-assessment examinations were conducted. The results reflected significant improvement in students’ technical competencies, analytical thinking, and coding proficiency.
Addressing the valedictory function, institute authorities appreciated the efforts of the Training and Placement Cell, faculty members, trainers, and participating students in making the program a grand success. They emphasized the importance of continuous skill development and encouraged students to leverage the acquired knowledge for internships, higher studies, competitive examinations, and placements.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants were awarded Value Added Course (VAC) Certificates for the technical training and Placement Tra
