To,
The Batch of 2026,
“कहीं पहुँचने के लिए कहीं से निकलना बहुत ज़रूरी होता है…”
Some endings don’t feel real until they quietly become memories.
As you stand at the threshold of new beginnings, we pause to acknowledge not just your achievements, but the journey that shaped them.
You were the batch that entered law school carrying the weight of an unfinished ending.
The *COVID batch* of Class 12....no proper farewell, no last bell that felt like closure, only uncertainty about what came next.
And then, law school began behind screens, friendships kept at a distance when they were meant to begin up close.
The usual excitement of a fresh start felt… different. Unfamiliar.
There was no clear template there rarely is.
But yours was a journey that demanded even more figuring out, more adjusting, more patience with the unknown.
And yet, somewhere between that uncertain beginning and today, things fell into place.
You found your people.
You found your pace.
You found your direction.
And of course how can anyone forget
you became THAT batch. The one known for its legendary bunks, turning attendance sheets into mere suggestions, and somehow still making it through.
Beyond the bunks and unforgettable chaos, you also became the batch everyone looked up to.
Be it mooting, sports, cultural events, or leadership, every batch that followed learned something from yours.
Five years of rushed mornings, last-minute FDs, Nescafe breaks that turned into laughter sessions, and hostel corridors that somehow knew all your stories today, they all stand still, just for a moment, for you.
The campus will remain, but it will never quite be the same without you.
And neither will you, without a piece of it.
You came here as strangers,
you leave as stories that this place will never forget.
Now, as final year turns into farewell,
this isn’t just an ending
it’s proof of everything you made work, even when nothing felt certain.
सायोनारा, until these corridors hear your laughter again.
