The 14th day of April 1990 will remain as land mark in the history of field of dentistry of state of Bihar in particular, and nation as whole for, it was on this very auspicious day of birth centenarary year of Bharat Ratna Late Baba-Saheb Ambedkar the Institute took it’s inception as a mark of memory and tribute to the great soul, who dedicated his life for the welfare & upliftment of poor and do

wn trodden of the society. The institute being the first of it’s kind in the north-east region of the country, imparting vocational training in field of Dentistry under the banner of Late Baba - Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the great humanist, the pioneer of Indian freedom and the architect of modern India. The Institute is being Managed by Gautam Educational & Welfare Society, a Buddhist Minority Society registered under Society Registration Act 21,1860 as well as by Governing Council, Represented by galaxy of educationists and dedicated persons of social and religious fields. Ambedkar Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital, is in the out skirts (West) of Patna on the Bailey Road, about 10 km from Patna Junction and about 4 km from Patna Air Port, in a peaceful atmosphere. The institute is running in three huge buildings having separate Administrative & Academic Block, Dental Hospital and 100 bedded General (Medical) Hospital with well equipped laboratories, and library with internet facilities.
