The initiative aimed to sensitize students towards social responsibility and contribute meaningfully to the welfare of underprivileged children.

The Joy of Meal session at the Hostel Mess ensured nutritious meals were served in a respectful and caring atmosphere.

Based on collected wish-lists, school bags, toys, footwear, and winter clothing were distributed.
The event concluded with a valedictory session marking the successful completion of JOGW 2026.

B K Birla Institute of Engineering and Technology, Pilani proudly celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India on 26th January 2026 at the campus premises with immense enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event was organized by the Cultural Committee in coordination with NCC.

The celebration commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag by the Director, the Principals (B K Birla Group of Institutions, Pilani), and the esteemed Chief Guest, Subedaar Major Honorary Captain R. L. Punia. This was followed by the National Anthem, creating a deeply emotional and proud moment for everyone present.

In his address, the Director, Prof B K Rout emphasized the significance of the Indian Constitution and reminded students of their duties and responsibilities in building a strong, progressive, and united nation. He encouraged everyone to uphold the values of unity, integrity, and discipline.

The Chief Guest, Subedaar Major Honorary Captain R. L. Punia, delivered a truly inspiring speech. He shared his life journey, struggles, and experiences during various wars, moving the audience with powerful reflections on sacrifice and service to the nation.

The celebration also featured vibrant cultural performances by students, including patriotic songs, group dances, and inspirational speeches that beautifully reflected the spirit of nationalism and the sacrifices of our freedom fighters.

A special performance was presented by the Social Chapter NIRMAAN, BKBIET, which was highly appreciated by the audience.

The event concluded with a renewed sense of pride, unity, and commitment toward the nation.

The Department of Computer Science Engineering, B. K. Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology (BKBIET), Pilani successfully organized an Expert Lecture on “Recent Trends in Artificial Intelligence” on 11th November 2025 at BPTRC Hall-1.

The session was delivered by our esteemed guest Dr. Navneet Goyal, Senior Professor, Department of CSIS, BITS Pilani. Around 100+ students from B.Tech. III & IV year (CS/IT/AI/DS) actively participated.

BKBIET, Pilani successfully hosted an inspiring expert talk on “The Evolution of Artificial Intelligence: From Rule-Based Systems to Agentic Intelligence”, jointly coordinated by the Digital Media Cell and the Department of Applied Science and Humanities. The session saw enthusiastic participation from 75+ M.Tech and B.Tech students, showcasing their growing interest in emerging technologies.

🎤 Guest Speaker:
Mr. Naveen Kumar Sharma – BKBIET Alumnus, Gold Medalist (RTU, 2015–19), and Senior Associate Consultant, Infosys Ltd.
He guided students through the remarkable journey of AI, from early rule-based systems to today’s cutting-edge agentic intelligence. The session covered key milestones including machine learning, neural networks, generative AI, and autonomous AI agents, along with their real-world applications and ethical implications.

Students interacted actively, raised insightful questions, and showed deep curiosity about advancements in AI and its role in industry and research. The session was highly impactful in enriching their understanding of modern AI technologies.

Debate Competition under Vigilance Awareness Week 2025
The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, BK Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology (BKBIET), Pilani, in collaboration with CSIR–CEERI Pilani, organized a Debate Competition on “Eradication of Corruption is Possible Only by Making Digital Transactions Compulsory” on 30th October 2025 at BPTRC Hall 1.

The event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) B.K. Rout, Director (Chief Guest), Prof. Anil Kumar Sharma, Principal (Guest of Honour), and guests from CSIR–CEERI Pilani, Shri Gurmender Singh and Shri Rajan Tirkey. A total of 21 students from various branches actively participated, sharing insightful views on the role of digitalization in promoting transparency and curbing corruption.
