🇮🇳 From India to France. 🇫🇷 From France to the world. 🌍

ESIP was not built on a business plan. It was built on a conviction.

There is a particular kind of project that does not start with a spreadsheet. It starts with a memory, a frustration, or a question that refuses to go away. ESIP — the École Supérieure Internationale de Pondicherry — is that kind of project.

Francis Dassou grew up in Pondicherry. He studied at the French Lycée, one of the oldest French educational institutions in India, and left to build a career that would take him across three continents. Twenty-five years in international capital markets — BNP Paribas, HSBC, investment banks across the Middle East — gave him something most educators do not have: a precise understanding of what the professional world actually demands from the people who enter it.

What he observed, over those twenty-five years, was a gap. Not a gap in talent — India produces exceptional students. Not a gap in ambition — the best of them aim high. The gap was structural. Accessing world-class academic credentials meant leaving India, often at eighteen, before students had the maturity, the preparation, or the financial means to make the most of that experience. The system was asking young people to leap before they had learned to run.

ESIP is the answer to that gap.

A campus built on professional reality

When ESIP opens its doors in September 2026 in Pondicherry, it will not look like a traditional institution. The campus has been designed from the ground up to replicate the conditions of a professional environment — not as a simulation, but as the actual context in which students learn. The infrastructure, the tools, the working methods: everything is calibrated to make students feel, from their very first day, that they are already operating in the world they are preparing to enter.

This is a deliberate choice. Academic knowledge matters. But the distance between knowing and performing — between understanding a concept and applying it under pressure, in a foreign language, in front of people who expect results — is where too many graduates get lost. ESIP closes that distance early.

Beyond the classroom

The pedagogical approach at ESIP rests on four pillars that go well beyond traditional coursework.

The language laboratory is integrated into the programme from day one. Mastering professional French, English, Hindi and Tamil is not treated as a prerequisite — it is built into the daily rhythm of study. French and English open the doors to international careers; Hindi and Tamil are essential to operating across the Indian national market. By the time students transition to a partner campus in France, fluency is not something they are working towards. It is something they already have.

The soft skills bootcamps address the competencies that academic transcripts do not capture: public speaking, argumentation, team dynamics, professional posture, the ability to defend an idea in a room where disagreement is expected. These are not electives. They are core to what ESIP believes a graduate should be able to do.

The intercultural preparation programme is what distinguishes ESIP from any institution that simply offers a partnership with a French school. Before students arrive in France, they understand it — its professional codes, its social expectations, its unwritten rules. The difference between a student who arrives and a student who integrates is not academic. It is cultural. ESIP addresses that difference directly.

The mentoring programme assigns each student an individual mentor throughout their time at ESIP. Not a counsellor. Not an administrator. A mentor who knows the student's strengths, tracks their progress, and guides their choices. Human, continuous, and personal.

Partnerships that deliver

ESIP does not award its own degrees. This is a point of principle. Every diploma earned through an ESIP programme is issued by the partner institution — ESSCA School of Management, IAE Paris / Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, EFAP, CESINE, 3W Academy — institutions whose accreditations and reputations speak for themselves on the global employment market.

The partnership with ESSCA School of Management — holder of the triple international accreditation AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA, and member of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles — is the cornerstone of ESIP's academic offering. The 2+3 pathway it enables is precisely the kind of structure ESIP was designed to deliver: two years in Pondicherry, three years in France, a Master's-level degree at the end. A structured, supported, step-by-step pathway to international excellence.

The same logic applies across all of ESIP's programmes. Each partnership has been built around a simple question: does this give ESIP students access to credentials that the world recognises and employers value?

The conviction

Francis Dassou did not return to Pondicherry to build a school. He returned because he believed something that the market had not yet acted on: that the talent was already there, that the ambition was already there, and that what was missing was not capacity but access.

"We don't deliver graduates. We bring out talent."

That sentence is not a marketing tagline. It is the operating principle of every decision ESIP makes — about its campus, its programmes, its partnerships, its teaching methods, its support structures. Talent, in ESIP's understanding, is not something that students arrive with or without. It is something that emerges when the conditions are right: when the academic rigour is real, when the professional preparation is serious, when the support is consistent, and when the destination is clear.

The campus opens in September 2026. Pre-registrations are open. This is where it all begins.
