The All India Students’ Federation (AISF) is the first students' organisation on all India level.The students in India were in the front ranks of those who fought for the freedom of our country. Inspired by the call of nation to rise against British imperialism and liberate the country from colonial yoke, the students plunged headlong into the freedom struggle. In the heroic battles for independen

ce glorious chapters were written with the young blood of student martyrs. And in the furnace of this anti-colonial struggle was born the All India Students' Federation at Lucknow on the 13th of August 1936, with the slogan of Peace! and Freedom !!!, under the guidance of freedom fighters and revolutionaries of that age. After independence, the organisation gave the slogan of Peace ! and Scientific socialism !!!. It started movements for equal rights for education, justice and opportunity to all. The organisation is having state committees in most of the states of India and its units in many Universities and Colleges.
