The second meeting of the Senate of Cochin University of Science and Technology was convened on Saturday, 2nd November 2019. My presence was marked, but I didn't have any expectations, since the last meeting of the Senate ended up in utter disappointment and a disciplinary action against me (in connection with a post put on a social media).
Even though the decisions taken in this meeting give further hope, the University's biased attitude towards the leftist alliances was evident ( I wouldn't like to give further explanation, since I'm under the shades of disciplinary action).
The request to introduce online exam registration facility for students from 2015 admission onwards was pending from a long time. Happy that the demand has been approved in this meeting. Also, directions have been given to the Principals/Heads of all Departments to initiate procedures to form Internship Cells for their respective students, which was also a demand pending since long.
The avoidance from the University on putting forward the needs and demands of Non- Keralite students of the University can be considered as a common characteristic of Kerala. The body has anyways, decided to discuss on their hostel and canteen problems. Directions have been given to include their suggestions in the University canteen menu.
Also, to my questions about SLS and SOE, the replies were that the tender for SLS moot court and new building will be called up soon and the construction will begin as soon as possible, and it was also said that there is shortage of funds for introducing more Bus Services for SOE.
The decision to dismiss the allegations against the Principal of SOE is esteemed for the University.
I would like to thank the person (not mentioning his name so as to avoid low class political allegations), who supported my motions in the meeting.
I assure that I will always stand with the students of the University, and will definitely go ahead with my small steps to cause big changes.
എന്റെ രണ്ടാം സെനറ്റ് യോഗം
വലിയ പ്രതീക്ഷകൾ ഇല്ലാത്തെ ആയിരുന്നു യോഗത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തത്.പ്രതീക്ഷക ളൊടെ പങ്കെടുത്ത ആദ്യ യോഗം നിരാശയലും അച്ചടക്ക നടപടിയിലും ആണലോ അവസാനിച്ചത്.
എന്നാൽ പ്രതീക്ഷകൾ നൽകുന്നതാണ് ഈ യോഗതിരുമാനങ്ങൾ.
എന്നാൽ ഇടത് കൂറ് വിണ്ടും സർവകലാശാല തെളിയിച്ചു.( അച്ചടക്കനടപടിയുടെ നിഴലിൽ ആയതിനാൽ കുടുതൽ വിശദികരണം നൽകുന്നില്ല.)
2015 admission വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളുടെ exam registration online ആക്കാം എന്നത് വളരെ നാളുകളായുള്ള ആവശ്യമാണ്.ഈ യോഗത്തിൽ അത് അംഗികരിച്ചു എന്നതിൽ സന്തോഷം. വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളുടെ വലിയ ഒരു ആവിശ്യം ആയിരുന്ന internship cell രൂപികരിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള പ്രാഥമിക നടപടികൾ തുടങ്ങാൻ അതാത് principal മാർക്കു നിർദേശം നൽകിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
അന്യസംസ്ഥാന വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളുടെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ സഭയിൽ അവതരിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഉണ്ടായ വിമുഖത കേരളത്തിന്റെ പൊതു സ്വഭാവമായി കാണാം. അവരുടെ canteen, hostel പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ ചർച്ച ച്ചെയാം എന്ന് ഈ യോഗം തിരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. Canteen ലെ വിഭവങ്ങളിൽ അവരുടെ നിർദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ സ്വികരിക്കാനും കുടുതൽ മാറ്റങ്ങളും നടപിൽ വരും. എന്റെ ചോദ്യങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള മറുപടിയായി SLS moot Court ന്റെയും കെട്ടിടത്തിന്റെ നിർമ്മാണം ഉടൻ Tender വിളിച്ച് നടപ്പാക്കും എന്നും SOE യിൽ കുടുതൽ Bus Service തുടങ്ങാൻ ഫണ്ട് അപര്യാപ്തത ഉണ്ട് എന്നുമാണ് നൽകിയത്.
SOE principal എതിരെയുള്ള പരാമർശങ്ങൾ സഭാ തള്ളിയത്തിൽ അഭിമാനം തോന്നുന്നു. എന്റെ പ്രമേയത്തെ പിന്തുണച്ച വ്യക്തിക്ക്
പേര് പരാമർശിക്കാതെ നന്ദി അറിയിക്കുന്നു.( വില കുറഞ്ഞ രാഷ്ട്രിയ ആരോപണങ്ങളെ ഒഴിവാക്കാൻ മാത്രം)
