SALIENT FEATURES OF OUR INSTITUTION:
:
KARUNYA SPIRITUALITY OF EDUCATION IN ACTION (Outreach program service learning)
Karunya, an outreach program, was launched to implant a seed of service in the young minds so as to prepare them as men and women for others and with others with the burning desire and ardent passion to do something constructively with likeminded people for the betterment of the society. To this end, two villages are selected in an academic year and eight visits are made to these villages. Our aim is to enable and empower the villagers to protect, preserve and promote the environment, to maintain good hygiene and blooming health and to conduct awareness sessions on the necessity of girls’ education and sports and games for the children and youth. Staff and students can volunteer to be part of this Karunya group. Drawing inspiration from Mother Teresa who sacrificed her entire life for the broken humanity, this service learning program aims at changing the society by changing onself.
