Greetings from Mathematics Association, BITS Pilani.

The Math Assoc, BITS Pilani, organizes annual Olympiads for students.

Keeping the tradition alive, we are taking an initiative to conduct an Annual Mathematics Olympiad (AMO) for the students of Class 11th and 12th. This event is being held in collaboration with Shrinivas Academy (www.shrinivasacademy.com), a premier institution for competitive level Physics.

The AMO will give participants an essence about competitive exams and nurture their problem-solving skills.

DETAILS OF THE EXAMINATION:

Tentative Date: 8th January 2023
Mode: Online (will be proctored)
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes.
Registration Fee: Rs 150/- per student

Unfortunately, once again (first occurence was in November 2011, see my Facebook post if u have time & enthu) I am facing the same monopolistic dirty tactics of a very well established IIT JEE coacing class of Pune. Just to satisfy their ego and to dissuade students from coming to me he tells students to leave his institute if they go to any additional classes.....!!

Is this not violation of basic consumer rights in a democratic country like us?
All private education institutes are like service providers....we are covered under GST in that manner only..
How can one service provider threaten to stop providing services to his consumers just because they take additional services from someone else..? Is it ok if Idea blocks your signals just because you also have Airtel sim too..
Is it wrong to study the same subject from multiple teachers, that too if a student feels really benefited and is not offending any of those teachers...
He openly tells them that their doubts won't be solved...also their attendance will be made compulsory in their tie-up college...its sheer breach of trust & blackmailing... is it right if a 64+ year old, very famous teacher tries threatening/horrifying 15/16 year old minor kids in this manner....ironically, these poor kids actually always considered him as their most favourite teacher...perhaps I was the second one...!!
