In Meghalaya, the intricate Wood Carving of the Khasi and Garo tribes depicted a fierce independence that refused to be tamed.

In Mizoram, women worked the backstrap looms, creating Textile Weaving where every pattern told a story of a clan's journey and its absolute refusal to be assimilated.
