Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology is pleased to announce the successful signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ajivam Water Pvt. Ltd. on 7th August 2026.

The collaboration focuses on advancing learning and innovation in Water Engineering and Digital Water Management through:

Welcoming to Our Second-Year IT Students!

The Department of Information Technology, Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology, organized the S.E. Induction Program to welcome students into the new academic year and help them begin their academic journey with clarity, confidence, and enthusiasm.

The program featured an insightful Alumni Interaction Session with Mr. Shreyash Shinde, Ms. Anjali Patil, and Mr. Nihar Shettigar, who shared valuable experiences on internships, placements, industry expectations, and career development.

Students also received guidance from Dr. Gulbakshi Dharmale on academic regulations, curriculum structure, examinations, and effective use of the ERP system. Dr. Shubhangi Suryawanshi, Head of the Department, welcomed the students and emphasized continuous learning, co-curricular participation, and professional growth.

An inspiring address by Principal Dr. Nitin Sherje encouraged students to pursue academic excellence, innovation, discipline, and holistic development.

The program also included a meditation session conducted by Mr. Sachin Naik, Mr. Sachin Kengar, and Mr. Vinay Waydande, introductions to various institute- and department-level clubs, and engaging interactive activities and student talent performances.

Hands-on Learning in Embedded Systems & IoT!

The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology, successfully completed a workshop on “Embedded Systems with STM32 and IoT” for Third Year E&TC students.

The sessions were conducted by industry experts Er. Ganesh Liladhar Attardey, GB Softronics Solutions, Pune, and Mr. Mahesh Lachake, Embedded Software Developer.

A total of 67 students actively participated in the intensive hands-on sessions and gained practical exposure to the STM32L4S5IVIT6 microcontroller, including:

🔹 RTOS-based embedded programming
🔹 Sequential bare-metal and concurrent task-based ex*****on
🔹 Task scheduling and priorities
🔹 Predictable timing and osDelay()
🔹 Queues, semaphores and mutexes
🔹 Implementation of independent RTOS tasks

The workshop provided students with valuable practical understanding of real-time embedded system development and strengthened their readiness for advanced applications in Embedded Systems and IoT.
