The Department of Radiodiagnosis, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Medical College & Research Centre, Pune, successfully organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme, “Insight: Window to the Womb,” on 7th June 2026, in association with IRIA SAMRAKSHAN and the Global Alliance for Safe Motherhood.

The CME brought together radiologists, consultants, and residents for a comprehensive academic exchange focused on advancing fetal and obstetric radiology. Expert-led sessions covered key topics including first and second trimester screening, pre-eclampsia and fetal growth restriction (FGR), Placenta Accreta Spectrum, evaluation of the fetal posterior fossa, and the evolving role of fetal MRI. Live demonstrations provided valuable practical insights, enhancing clinical understanding and application.

The event was enriched by inspiring keynote addresses from Dr. Arun Kinare and Dr. Praveen Nirmalan, who highlighted the critical role of radiology in improving maternal and fetal outcomes.

Interactive panel discussions explored:
🔹 Optimising Fetal Radiology Practices in Teaching Hospitals
🔹 Fetal Growth Restriction: The Role of Timely Doppler Assessment in Improving Neonatal Outcomes

Accredited with 2 MMC Credit Points, the CME offered a meaningful platform for knowledge sharing, skill enhancement, and professional development while reinforcing the collective commitment to safer motherhood and better fetal care.

The International Conference on Emergency Medicine (ICEM 2026), organized by the German Association for Emergency Medicine (GAfEM/DGINA), brought together Emergency Medicine experts, educators, and researchers from across the world to exchange knowledge, innovations, and best practices in emergency care.

We are proud to congratulate Dr. Shweta Tyagi and Dr. Krista Pinto for representing the institution through their valuable academic contributions:

🔹 Cervical Spine Through the Ages – Skill demonstrations on age-specific cervical spine immobilization.

🔹 Pediatric Predominant Mass Envenomation Following Rock Bee (Apis dorsata) Swarm Attack – Emergency Department surge management and clinical outcomes.

🔹 Emergency Medicine Training Through a Three-Lens SWOT Analysis – Perspectives from the international landscape, India, and a tertiary care center in urban India.

Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Medical College, Pune, proudly organized the Academic Achievers Felicitation Programme, recognizing and honoring meritorious students from the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Super Specialty programmes for their exceptional dedication, perseverance, and academic accomplishments.

The programme was graced by Hon'ble Dr. Shahaji Deshmukh, Former Principal of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical College, Sangli, Medical Director of BHRC Pune, and Professor of General Surgery, as the Chief Guest.
