The management, faculty, and students extend their heartfelt congratulations to Dr. (Col.) V.P. Singh, Professor, Department of Medicine, Bharati Vidyapeeth (DU) Medical College, Pune on receiving a prestigious invitation from the Honourable Governor of Bihar, Lt. Gen Syed Ata Hasnain (Retd), to perform at the Lok Bhavan during Independence Day celebrations.

A distinguished session at CRITICON 2026 was delivered by Dr. Girija Wagh, Professor & HOD at Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Medical College, on the clinically significant topic “When Common Presentations Hide Uncommon Killers.”

Drawing upon her extensive clinical experience, Dr. Wagh presented compelling case-based insights that highlighted the importance of maintaining a high index of suspicion, recognising atypical presentations, and considering critical diagnoses that may otherwise be overlooked.

Her emphasis on the principle “The diagnosis you miss is the diagnosis you do not consider” offered a valuable reminder of the importance of clinical vigilance and sound decision-making in obstetric care.

This achievement also marks the 3rd batch of our students undertaking electives at Bristol, reflecting the growing global opportunities and international exposure offered to our students.

The Department of Respiratory Medicine at Bharati Hospital & Research Centre, Pune, successfully organised an insightful guest lecture on the Forced Oscillation Technique (FOT) by renowned pulmonologist Dr. Suhas Bardapurkar, along with the inauguration of our new FOT machine.

The session provided valuable insights into the principles, interpretation, and clinical applications of FOT and concluded with an engaging case discussion involving faculty members, resident doctors, interns, and students.

Faculty members from the Department of Pathology—Dr. Amit Nisal, Dr. Anuja Patil, and Dr. Amrutraj Patil—proudly represented our institution at the ISTH 2026 Congress held in Paris, France.

Recognised as one of the world's leading scientific platforms in the field of thrombosis and haemostasis, the conference brought together experts from more than 100 countries to discuss the latest advancements in research, diagnostics, and patient care.
