SIU recently welcomed a distinguished delegation from Warwick University, UK, to explore opportunities for strengthening international collaboration and academic partnership. The delegation featured Professor Virinder Kalra, Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International), Professor Parveen Kaur, Warwick Manufacturing Group, Ms. Emily Lim, Associate Director, International Strategy and Relations,The University of Warwick.
The delegation first engaged in a meeting with Dr. Ramakrishnan Raman, Vice Chancellor, Symbiosis International University (SIU) along with Dr. Anupama S. Kotur, Head - Symbiosis Centre for India Australia Studies (SCIAS), International Academic Programs, Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE), Ms. Manasi Phatak (Joshi), Head, International Collaborations - Mobility programs, Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE), Ms. Sonali Hardikar, Executive, SCIE and Mr. Sandeep Singh, Senior Officer, International Academic Programs - SCIE. The discussion featured an engaging exchange of ideas on Transnational Education (TNE), highlighting key areas where both universities aim to grow and collaborate. Dr. Raman emphasized on shared valuable insights on the strategies and initiatives already implemented at SIU to strengthen global engagement.
The delegation further met Dr. Ketan Kotecha, Dean-Faculty of Engineering, Director- Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT-P) along with Dr. Anindita Roy, Head- Internationalization and Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department, SIT-P, Dr. Anupama and Ms. Sonali . Dr. Koetcha enthusiastically shared insights on the institute’s academic strengths, emerging focus areas such as Artificial Intelligence, and ongoing initiatives to foster global collaborations. The interaction centered on exploring opportunities for joint research, academic exchange, and progression pathways, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing innovation, enhancing global exposure, and building impactful international partnerships.
