Self Management Leadership

Self Management Leadership The concept behind Self Management Leadership (SML) is “If we can manage the world inside us; then we manage the world outside us.” The aim of SML

1.

We human beings live in two worlds – our Inner World and the Outer World. Our Inner World is not visible to us; whereas we can perceive our outer world through our five sense perceptions ie. eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin (touch). These act like the input devices to our Inner World. Based on the various situations that we encounter in life, the input received through these five sense perception

s gets processed in our Inner World and the processed output is seen as our responses - sometimes as reactions; which we call as our behavior pattern. To put it in Psychological terms; our behavior is a function of our personality interacting with the environment ie. B = f(PxE)

So, if we are in conflict with our Inner World; then we are in conflict with our Outer world ... And, if we are in harmony with our Inner World; then we are in harmony with our Outer World. The underlying philosophy of the programme is that authentic, inspirational leadership requires a firm foundation of self-knowledge and inner power that can only be acquired through a disciplined process of self-management i.e. management of one’s thoughts, emotions and behaviors

Modern Management teaches us to manage the 5 M’s of the Outer World – i.e. Men, Material, Machines, Method and Money. However, to manage these 5 M’s we need to manage one more ’M’ that belongs to our Inner World and that is the Mind. To put it differently: “If we can manage the world inside us; then we manage the world outside us.”

So, if one can manage his Mind under various life situations, then managing the other 5 M’s of the outer world becomes relatively very easy. However, if the 6th M goes erratic, then the other 5 M’s also goes on a tangent. This is where the concept of Self-Management Leadership assumes it importance over any other field of management. To learn how to have more control of your own thoughts, feeling and behavior.

2. To become a better leader through better self-understanding and practical application of Spiritual knowledge and Principles.

3. To take complete responsibility of your life and stop blaming others or circumstances.

4. To take more personal responsibility for your “State of Mind” and emotions.

5. To learn how to communicate better with people. To help manage life changes. Who is it for ?

1. Students/individuals

2, Working professionals

3. Company/Organization
