What happens when an artist of 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗲𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗹𝘀’ stature enters a room not to give a lecture, but to share, listen, question and discover together?

We had the privilege of welcoming 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗲𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗹𝘀 to Pune for an evening that unfolded as a vibrant exchange between an artist and an engaged audience.

One of the most distinctive voices in contemporary music theatre, Goebbels shared glimpses from some of his many works, including 𝘚𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘯𝘴, 𝘋𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦, 𝘚𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘋𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦, 𝘈𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘈𝘣𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘤𝘩’𝘴 𝘋𝘦𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘶𝘳𝘺, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘌𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘯 - to name just a few - while taking us behind the creative processes and ideas that shaped them. He also spoke about the influence of 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗶𝗻 and 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗠ü𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 on his artistic practice.

More than a lecture, the open format became a space for 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 - with the audience engaging directly with Goebbels and his work.

The invited gathering brought together well-known figures from Pune’s cultural and artistic circles, whose questions, perspectives and experiences added another rich dimension to the conversation.

And perhaps that is what made the evening special: not simply being introduced to an artist’s work, but being invited into his way of thinking-where sound, silence, objects, texts, space and imagination meet, and where there are perhaps as many questions as there are answers.
