The 49th Batch of IMED, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) began its journey with a series of inspiring interactions that reflected the institution's commitment to nurturing future leaders through knowledge, values, and real-world perspectives.
Dr. Vishwajeet Kadam, Pro Vice Chancellor, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), shared the enduring legacy of Dr. Patangrao Kadam Saheb, highlighting the vision that transformed Bharati Vidyapeeth into a globally respected institution. Encouraging students to dream with purpose, he spoke about the responsibility of carrying forward this legacy through excellence, integrity, and service to society.
Dr. Vivek Saoji, Vice Chancellor, inspired the incoming batch by reflecting on the transformative journey of a student, emphasizing the importance of lifelong learning, character building, adaptability, and preparing for a future shaped by innovation and opportunity.
Adding an industry perspective, Mr. Saurabh Gadgil, Chairman and Managing Director, PNG Jewellers, shared valuable lessons from his entrepreneurial journey, speaking about leadership, resilience, innovation, and creating lasting value.
Complementing this was an insightful address by Mr. Shekhar Singh, IAS, Commissioner, Kumbh Mela, Nashik, who shared his experience of managing one of the world's largest spiritual gatherings. He highlighted the immense faith and trust of millions of devotees and the extraordinary planning, collaboration, governance, and public service required to successfully conduct the Kumbh Mela.
