🌱 GREEN INNOVATORS CLUB – FRESHMAN INDUCTION PROGRAMME 2026 🌱

The Freshman Induction Programme 2026 at Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering, Pune (BVDUCOEP) witnessed the introduction of the Green Innovators Club at the college level for First-Year Engineering Students on 6th August 2026. 🌍💚

The initiative was introduced by Dr. Priya Deshpande with the vision of inspiring young engineering students to develop a strong sense of environmental responsibility, sustainability, innovation, and green technology. 🌿💡

The Green Innovators Club aims to provide students with a platform to explore and develop innovative solutions for real-world environmental challenges through creative thinking, teamwork, sustainable practices, and engineering innovation. ♻️🔬

Through various activities, awareness programmes, competitions, projects, and hands-on initiatives, the club will encourage students to become future-ready Green Innovators and responsible engineers. 🌱🏗️

The Department of Civil Engineering, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering, Pune, was delighted to welcome our distinguished alumnus Mr. Vaibhav Garg (Batch 1989–1993) from Jagadhri, Haryana.

Mr. Garg has over 27 years of experience as a Consultant and Valuer, with expertise in RCC structures, prefabricated Ferrocrete construction, structural valuation, and insurance loss assessment. He has also contributed to the revival of the Saraswati River through his work with an NGO from 2002 to 2016.

During his visit, he interacted with the faculty, shared his inspiring professional journey, cherished memories of his student life at BVDUCOEP, and discussed emerging opportunities and future trends in Civil Engineering. His insights on industry expectations and career growth were highly valuable and motivating.

We sincerely thank Mr. Vaibhav Garg for visiting his alma mater and look forward to continued collaboration for the benefit of our students and the Civil Engineering community.

The article explores how the work-from-home culture can reshape urban mobility by reducing traffic congestion, lowering environmental impact, and encouraging sustainable transportation practices.

🚧 Learning Beyond the Classroom! 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

Our Final Year (Semester VIII) Civil Engineering students have begun their 6-month In-Plant Training, gaining hands-on experience at some of the region's most prestigious infrastructure and industrial projects.

📍 MahaMetro Casting Yard, Akurdi & Chinchwad Metro Station
Students explored the ongoing Pune Metro Line Extension (PCMC–Nigdi) project, witnessing live construction activities including pier cap reinforcement, segment lapping, and station construction.

📍 GE Aerospace Pvt. Ltd., Chakan
Students actively learned about industrial site preparation, safety practices, job planning, and electrical cable laying as per industry standards.

These photographs capture our future engineers learning directly from professionals, understanding real-world construction practices, and building the skills needed for a successful engineering career.
