NICMAR University, Pune, proudly announces its recognition at the 2nd Edition of the RECEIC Global Symposium & Awards on Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy, organized by the Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy Industry Coalition (RECEIC) in collaboration with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).

The School of Real Estate and Facilities Management at NICMAR University, Pune hosted an insightful guest lecture on “Afcons’ Lean Journey.” The session was delivered by Mr. Yadhnesh Udas, Manager – Quality Excellence Cell, at Afcons Infrastructure, Mumbai. Mr. Udas shared perspectives on the importance of lean construction practices in enhancing productivity across infrastructure projects. He explained how Afcons integrates Lean principles, particularly the Last Planner System (LPS), to reduce waste in materials, time, and effort.
The session aligned closely with the course Lean Construction and Value Engineering, enriching the learning experience of MBA-REUIM and MBA-ENS students. The session was coordinated by Dr. Nilesh Patil.

The School of Construction, NICMAR University, Pune, successfully conducted a hands-on workshop on Digital Quality Control using digiQC software for MBA-ACM students. Led by industry experts Mr. Sumant Kachru (CEO, digiQC) and Mr. Jigar Hathiwala (Co-Founder & Product Head, digiQC), the session highlighted the need for industry-specific quality systems and inspired students to drive digital transformation in construction.
With over 4000 inspections and 3000+ instructions generated through the digiQC app, students gained practical exposure to real-world quality management practices. The workshop, aligned with the “Construction Quality Management” course, was coordinated by Dr. Nilesh Patil.
