Inter Institute Book Review Competition
In Commemoration of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s Birth Anniversary
“Reading Inspiration Day” (वाचन प्रेरणा दिन)

Time: 11.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
Venue: IICMR Knowledge Centre
The IICMR Knowledge Centre, successfully organized an Inter Institute Book Review Competition on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, India’s most inspiring scientist and former President. The event was held on Wednesday, 15th October 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the IICMR Knowledge Centre.
Condolence Tribute
Before commencing the program, a heartfelt 2-minute Shraddhanjali (condolence silence) was observed in memory of the late mother of Dr. Abhay Kulkarni, Director, IICMR. All dignitaries, faculty members, and students paid their respects with utmost reverence.

“Esteemed dignitaries, respected directors, honorable judge, faculty members, dear participants and students… A very warm and inspirational morning to all of you!
Today, we have gathered to honor the legacy of the People’s President – Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam – a visionary who believed that ‘One best book is equal to a hundred good friends, but one good friendis equal to a library.’In his memory, IICMR Knowledge Centre proudly present the Inter Institute Book Review Competition on the occasion of ‘Reading Inspiration Day – वाचन प्रेरणा दिन.’ I now take the honor to welcome all of you and officially commence today’s celebration of ज्ञान, प्रेरणा आणि वाचन संस्कृती! With immense respect, I invite all dignitaries for the Lighting of the Lamp and Inauguration of ‘Wachan Prerna Din.’

The program was smoothly anchored by Ms. Tanvi Ghorpade, MBA. The result declaration and certificate distribution were conducted under the guidance of Dr. Dipali Sawai.
