"M.C.E. Society's M.A. Rangoonwala Institute of Hotel Management and Research's NSS volunteers with Asst. Prof. Girish Kate attended the 38th Pune Festival event - 'Tourism Symposium' held at Balgandharva Art Gallery on September 19, 2026.

During the event, students interacted with key leaders from the PMC, MTDC, and MCCIA. The discussions centred on promoting regional tourism, attracting visitors, and developing sustainable infrastructure. This experience helped students to bridge academic learning with the real dynamics of the hospitality industry, giving students valuable exposure to the hospitality industry."

Sufi Sangeet – A Soulful Musical Evening
Students of M.C.E. Society’s M.A. Rangoonwala Institute of Hotel Management and Research actively participated in the felicitation programme and served refreshments during the prestigious “Sufi Sangeet” event. The students gained valuable practical experience in hospitality service, guest interaction, teamwork and event management.
Dr. P. A. Inamdar University, in association with The Muslim Co-op. Bank Ltd., Pune, presented the soulful musical evening featuring the world-renowned Qutbi Brothers Qawwals on the occasion of the 38th Pune Festival.
The programme was held on Saturday, 19th September 2026, at Ganesh Kala Krida Rang Manch, Nehru Stadium, Swargate, Pune.
The event was graced by Hon’ble Adv. Husna Banu Khalife, Former Member of Legislative Council and General Secretary, Maharashtra Congress Minority Department, as the Chief Guest.
The dignitaries present on the dais included Mrs. Abeda P. Inamdar, Chancellor, Dr. P. A. Inamdar University and President, M.C.E. Society; Smt. Meera Kalmadi, Chairperson, Pune Festival; Mr. Krishnakumar Goyal, President, Pune Festival; Mr. Tanveer P. Inamdar, Chairman, The Muslim Co-op. Bank Ltd., Pune; Dr. Satish Desai, General Secretary, Pune Festival; and Dr. Sunil Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Dr. P. A. Inamdar University, Pune.

M. C. E. Society's M. A. Rangoonwala Institute of Hotel Management & Research, Pune, organized a guest lecture on “हिंदी कहानी और कविता : संवेदनाओं की सशक्त अभिव्यक्ति” for the students of Second Year B.Sc. (HS) on 21st September 2026. The session was conducted by Dr. Babasaheb Rasul Shaikh, Assistant Professor and Research Guide, Department of Hindi, Poona College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Pune. Dr. Shaikh focused on the significance of Hindi stories and poetry as powerful forms of emotional and creative expression. The resource person explained various literary themes, emotions, values, and social messages through relevant examples. Students actively participated in the interactive session and shared their views. The lecture helped students enhance their appreciation of Hindi literature, creative thinking, and critical understanding.
Mrs. Chanda Supekar executed this activity under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. Anita Frantz.

M.C.E. Society’s M. A. Rangoonwala Institute of Hotel Management and Research, Pune organised a workshop on “The Art of Making Coffee” for B.Sc. (H.S.) students on Friday, 18th September 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Arpita Vishwas Sawale, Store Manager, Starbucks Pune, Phoenix Marketcity. The session provided students with practical exposure to the fundamentals of coffee preparation, including coffee selection, brewing techniques, presentation, and the importance of consistency and quality in coffee service.

Green Club of M. C. E. Society’s M. A. Rangoonwala Institute of Hotel Management & Research, Pune, organized a Guest Lecture on “Global Warming” for the B.Sc. (Hospitality Studies) students on 17th September 2026.
The session was delivered by Asso. Prof. Imran Sayyed, IQAC Coordinator, M.A.R.I.H.M.R who highlighted the causes, consequences, and environmental impact of global warming. The lecture also emphasized the importance of sustainable practices, environmental responsibility, and the role of students in addressing climate change.
The session provided students with valuable insights into one of the most pressing environmental challenges facing the world today.
