In the year 2009, a group of enterprising law students decided to work together and give Pune it's biggest college fest - Symbhav! The fest has continued its steady rise as a platform for college students from across the country to showcase their talent, and have a good time while they're at it! Symbhav features a wide variety of events ranging from quizzes, debates, legal events to sports, theatr

e, music and fine arts events. From the very beginning, Symbhav has been successful in playing host to renowned musical artistes and bands in the form of Pro-nites. Artists over the years include Indian Ocean, Voctronica, Nucleya, Kailash Kher, Teri Miko, Advaita, Avial, Agnee, Cyanide, Navin Kumar, Niladri Kumar and Sivamani among others. "Consent is not assumed when your partner is drunk, asleep or not in a position to give consent"

It were lines like these that made the Law Theatre of Symbhav 2020 a massive success. The theme of "Marital R**e", the chilling psychological and legal ramifications associated with it were explored with actors brilliantly executing their roles. Its primary objective of spreading awareness of a gruesome act as well as initiating a conversation to identify and combact it was fulfilled. Law Theatre 2020 enacted a mesmerising play, putting a message out there for the masses.

The panelists include Justice Dinesh Maheshwari, Sitting Judge, Supreme Court, Justice Abhilasha Kumari, Judicial Member, Lokpal Committee and former Chief Justice of Manipur High Court, Justice Revati Mohite Dere, Judge, Bombay High Court and former Additional Public Prosecutor of Union of India in the High Court, Ms. Aishwarya Bhatti, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court, Mr. V. Lakshmikumaran, Founder and Managing Partner, Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys, Dr. Vinod Surana, CEO and Partner, Surana and Surana and Jayant Bhatt, Advocate, Supreme Court.
Symbiosis Law School, Pune has developed a unique format for Conclave 2020 in order to maximise the impact of the event and make it accessible.

An interesting discussion about the theme of "Internationalization in the Indian Legal System" was held with the panelists. While some were in support of the concept, others contested in the opposition with justified arguments. Conclave 2020 was a conference to watch, as it is externalized the real face of the Indian legal system.
