Leading with Humanity Begins with Understanding Ourselves.

Ram Charan School of Leadership (RSOL) in collaboration with The Power of Words (TPOW), hosted The Power of Emotional Intelligence on 26 August 2026 at WPU Pune.

The practice-led workshop brought together RSOL’s BBA and MBA students to explore self-awareness, empathy, resilience and emotional awareness through the Band-Bond Initiative and interactive activities.

Students explored practical approaches to leadership, communication, emotional well-being and resilience, while learning to understand emotions, manage stress and build sustainable habits beyond the classroom.

The session featured Ms. Deborah Sawaf, Founder & CEO – The Power of Words; Mr. Dominic Thomas, Co-Founder – The Power of Words, along with the trainers and assistant trainers, with addresses by Prof. Datta Bhalchandra Dandge, Vice Chancellor – WPU Pune, and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Dean – RSOL, WPU Pune.

From perfect brownies to intricate sugar art, Chef Yann Muriset, Pastry Programme Leader and Senior Pastry Instructor, Culinary Arts Academics, Switzerland, brought his expertise to WPU Pune.

During his interaction with Department of Hospitality Management students, Chef Yann demonstrated his craft, shared professional techniques and secrets behind creating exceptional brownies, and conducted an engaging Sugar Arts Workshop. Team Vegapod Hyperloop, the official Hyperloop team of WPU Pune, has achieved remarkable recognition at European Hyperloop Week 2026 in Groningen, Netherlands.
The team received the Emerging Engineering Talent Award, ranked 6th worldwide in Engineering Design, and secured 7th place overall globally.

From overcoming complex design, manufacturing and procurement challenges to working with linear actuator motors and magnetic levitation, the team's dedication and technical expertise have translated into global success.
