Team OpCellence - The Operations Club of SIBM Pune is delighted to announce the successful conclusion of SAMVAAD - The Supply Chain Conclave.
The first keynote address was by Mr. Vineet Parwal - Vice President Supply Chain and Operations at SleepyCat. The session was on the topic “Technology in e-commerce” and revolved around how the industry operates, customisation of apps, and utilization of search engine optimization to advertise and practices at top e-commerce firms.
The second session was a fireside chat on the topic “How the pandemic has accelerated analytics and process automation” moderated by Mr. Tejpal Singh Battra - Co-founder and President at iGiftLife and visiting faculty at SIBM Pune, featuring Mr. Saptarshi Sarkar - Program Manager at Amazon and Mr. Kungumaraj Mohan - National Manager Commercial Analytics at HCCB Pvt. Ltd. The session touched upon the effect of the pandemic on their industries, how the pandemic offered opportunities for smaller firms to partner up with the biggest 3PL firms to strengthen their operations, and how innovation and agility at their firms helped them to design risk mitigation strategies.
The final keynote speaker for the conclave was Mr. Sandeep A - Senior Management Consultant at ABB. The session was about “How the industry is changing with supply chain digitization and analytics.” The session revolved around different strategies and approaches towards digitization and the benefits of the same. Digitization in product development, ERP systems and process mining were some of the focus areas of the talk.
