We’re Hiring at CVV! Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth’s School of Kalayoga, Baner, Pune, is looking for passionate Teaching Assistants to join its music faculty.

Open Positions:
• B.A. (Music) – Hindustani Vocal
• B.A. (Music) – Bansuri

What You’ll Do:
Teach and contribute to curriculum development, coordinate events, mentor students, and support the School’s academic and day-to-day operations.

What We’re Looking For:
• M.A. in Music or a minimum of 10 years of training under a reputed Guru
• Strong performance and music theory skills
• Good communication skills
• NET preferred, but not mandatory

On August 3rd, the auspicious occasion of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji’s Mahasamadhi, Chinmaya Naada Bindu Gurukula welcomed its new batch at ‘Chinmayam’—the new venue for the School of Kalayoga.

The day commenced with a sacred Havan and Guru Paduka Pooja, followed by the traditional thread-tying ceremony led by Pt. Rajendra Kulkarni, symbolizing a deep, mutual commitment between the Gurukula and its students. Inspiring words from guest speakers and faculty reminded everyone of the unique spiritual environment here-where art and devotion come together to nurture not just fine musicians, but deeply grounded individuals.

From interactive ice-breaking sessions to joyful musical activities, the day wrapped up with shared meals and heartwarming smiles from students, faculty, and parents alike.

The School of Kalayoga at Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth successfully hosted a vibrant one-day music workshop on 18th July at Chinmayam, Baner! Offered in a blended mode, 17 enthusiastic participants - including international learners—immersed themselves in three specialized streams guided by our esteemed faculty:

- Barkha Ritu Aayi (Vocal): Dr. Swapnil Chaphekar led an enriching journey through monsoon-themed compositions, teaching 7 distinct song forms - from Kajari and Khayal to Thumri and Bhajan - blending deep musical insight with engaging trivia.

- Tabla Dexterity (Tabla): Dr. Atul Kamble conducted systematic, hands-on training focusing on posture, hand techniques, fundamental bols, layakari, and effective riyaz to elevate technical precision.

- Mastering Tunefulness in Flute (Bansuri): Shri Jayateerth Kulkarni provided intensive guidance on breath control, tonal stability, and pitch accuracy, teaching a composition in Raag Brindavani Sarang set to Rupak Taal.

Embodying the spirit of the Guru-Shishya tradition through experiential learning, the workshop empowered participants with enhanced confidence and deeper artistic understanding.

Our visiting faculty, Shri Ashish Keskar, was honoured with the prestigious “Bhaskarbuwa Bakhle Award” on 15th July 2026 at Balgandharva Rangmandir, Pune, for his exceptional work in Marathi music theatre.
