Introducing TRANSIT 2026 - a Mid-TRL Technology Transition Workshop focused on bridging the gap between research, industry needs, and real-world deployment.

Bringing together stakeholders across aerospace, energy, defence, and dual-use systems, TRANSIT 2026 will drive conversations around technology gaps, collaborative project formation, and deployment roadmaps.

It is a pleasure to share that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony was successfully held on 25 May 2026 at COEP Technological University, Pune.

The MoU was signed with Schaeffler with the objective of fostering industry-academia collaborations. Schaeffler will be partnering with Team Octane Racing Electric, the Formula Student Team of COEP Technological University, Pune, offering support by sponsoring driverless technology, hardware, and technical guidance through industry experts.

The ceremony was marked by the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Mr. Yogesh Patwardhan, Managing Director, Schaeffler Technology Solutions; Mr. Saurabh Tiwari, Domain Head – System & Software, Schaeffler Technology Solutions; Mr Manish Tripathi and Mr Pushkar Barve.
The event was also graced by Prof. Sunil Bhirud, Vice-Chancellor, COEP Technological University
Dr Dayaram Sonawane, Registrar, COEP Technological University, Dr SP Mahajan, Director RIIL, Dr PP Bartakke, Dr Pardeshi, Faculty Advisor – TORe, and Mr HP Shinde.

The 98th Regatta organized by the Boat Club of the College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) was celebrated this year with great enthusiasm and excitement. Held under the theme “Legacy in Motion,” the event showcased captivating and visually stunning water sports performances.

The Regatta is an important initiative for the holistic development of students, fostering physical and mental well-being, teamwork, discipline, and leadership qualities. The creative presentations, conveying hopeful and inspiring messages and symbolizing a journey from darkness to light, added a unique charm to the event.

The audience was mesmerized by the rhythmic movements of the kayak ballet, the speed and excellent coordination in shell games, the creativity in telematches and punt formations, and the radiant performances in the torch dance.

On this occasion, the chief guest was Sarvesh Javdekar (Director, Vilas Javdekar Eco Housing Pvt. Ltd.), and the guest of honor was Robert John (CEO of Amphenol), who appreciated the students. Guidance was also provided by Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunil Bhirud, Registrar Dr. D. N. Sonawane, Director of the Students Development Board Dr. M. P. Khod, Vice President of the Boat Club Dr. V. K. Haribhakta, and organizer Dr. S. M. Navghare. Regatta Secretary Yuvraj Phulsaundar also played an active role in organizing the event.

The occasion highlighted the unity, discipline, and dedication of the students.

Mr. Gite continues to remain closely associated with the university as President of the COEP Alumni Association, Chancellor’s Nominee on the Board of Governance, and a Distinguished Alumnus of COEP.

Under his leadership, Taural India has emerged as a leading manufacturer of large and intricate aluminium sand castings by integrating advanced European technologies with India’s manufacturing capabilities, contributing to the nation’s Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
