Considering the enormous talent of potential filmmakers in India, there is a surprising scarcity of quality institutes to train them and impart values of quality film making in them. Very few among the existing institutes really have the aptitude,the drive, the facilities and the expertise backed by talented teachers to impart quality education in film making. The MIT School of Film and Theatre (MITSFT) at Rajbaug Pune is created to address this scarcity of providing quality training in the various aspects of film making including direction, cinematography, editing, sound recording/editing, production design or art direction, screenplay writing etc. At MITSFT, we treat film education at par with every other academic faculty.
