The Official page for SCMS-Pune, formerly known as Symbiosis BBA. Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies formerly introduced as Symbiosis BBA was formally inaugurated on July 12, 2004 in a grand ceremony. What followed was a journey of discovery, excitement and activities that has taken us one step ahead in our continuous quest for excellence. Presently the institute offers one program -

the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). However, we offer six streams to choose from. The first year will be common to all students. Thereafter students may choose from the following streams:
• Human Resource Management
• Marketing Management
• Accounting & Finance
• International Business
• Environmental Management
• Entrepreneurship
We empower our students with a sound knowledge base and provide an environment that is conducive to learning. Vision:
Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies (Under Graduate) will be a globally respected institute that lays a strong foundation in management education thereby developing managers who are committed to excellence in their chosen path without compromising on moral values. Mission:

The future of education is being reimagined through the power of Artificial Intelligence.

Dr Adya Sharma, Director, SCMS Pune, successfully completed the Google AI Educator Series Summit held at IIT Bombay from 18-19 August 2026.

As Dr. Adya Sharma notes, our role as educators is to prepare students for the future, and for that first we need to continuously learn, adapt, and embrace the tools that are shaping it.

We recently organised two incredibly insightful industrial visits for our students, taking them inside the operational powerhouses of two iconic brands: Hindustan Coca-Cola India Limited (Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages) and Amul India (GCMMF).

A New Chapter Begins | Common Induction 2026

A memorable day as the new batches of Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies- Pune, SID and SCMC came together for the Common Induction Programme.
The students were warmly welcomed by Dr Adya Sharma Director- SCMS, Pune and inspired by the addresses by Dr. Ramakrishnan Raman, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), and Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Hon’ble Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University).
The students also received a warm welcome message from Prof. Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, Founder & President, Symbiosis, whose message set the tone for their journey at Symbiosis.

From words of wisdom to moments of inspiration, the day reminded our students to stay curious, embrace opportunities and make the most of every experience that lies ahead.

The day concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Shreeram Gopalkrishnan, Director, SCMC, bringing together reflections and encouragement for the road ahead.

The Journey Begins | Days 4 & 5
As Induction Week came to a close, the last two days were all about stepping out, connecting, and getting to know one another.
Day 4 took our new batch on a visit to the Symbiosis ( SIU ) campus where the DSRW team engaged them with Outbound learning program in a range of fun and interactive activities.
Day 5 brought the week to a cheerful close as our seniors welcomed the new batch with ice-breaker activities, laughter, and plenty of opportunities to make new friends.
From meeting their mentors and alumni to discovering the campus and making their first friendships, Batch 2026–30 has taken its first steps into the SCMS journey.

Alumni Panel Discussion | Induction Day 2
What better way to inspire a new journey than by hearing from those who once walked the same corridors?

Day 2 of Induction Week Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Pune featured an engaging Alumni Panel Discussion with accomplished SCMS Pune graduates from diverse domains—Government Transformation & Drone Technology, Manufacturing, Management Consulting, SaaS Sales, and Entrepreneurship.
Representing different batches and industries, our alumni shared honest reflections on their journeys, encouraging the incoming batch to embrace opportunities, never fear being judged, stay curious, keep learning, and enjoy the journey without worrying too much about the destination.
For our alumni, it was a heartwarming homecoming. For Batch 2026–30, it was a reminder that there is no single path to success—only the courage to create your own.

The Journey Begins | Day 1

The first day of Induction Week marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Batch 2026–30.
From an inspiring alumni address by Ms. Kasturi Mallick (Batch 2008–11), General Manager – Treasury & Insurance, Sula Vineyards Ltd., to the Investiture Ceremony entrusting student leaders with responsibility, the day reflected the values of leadership and excellence.
The session concluded with an insightful address by Director Dr. Adya Sharma, who warmly welcomed students and reassured parents as they embarked on this new journey.
