Working parents these days have time to do pregnancy photoshoot, make hundreds of insta uploads on progress, delivery and celebrating their kid's monthly birthday.

But never even think twice while leaving their 6 months old kids alone with maid or nanny for whole day. Not even bothered that the upbringing that little kid is going to get is that of maid not that of their parents'.

It's always better to not have kids than have kids and not have time for them..!!

Dr. Ramakrishnan Raman as the New Vice Chancellor of Symbiosis International (Deemed University).

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Ramakrishnan Raman as the new Vice Chancellor of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). With a remarkable educational journey that includes a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering and an MBA in Systems and Marketing, and a doctoral degree in Management from Pune University, Dr. Raman brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this esteemed institution. His extensive career spanning over two decades is a testament to his diverse experience in the corporate, academic, and research domains. He has served Symbiosis for over a decade in different capacities including Professor & Director Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology, Professor & Director Symbiosis Institute of Business Management – Pune, Dean – Faculty of Management and Director – Strategy & Development. Dr. Raman's contributions extend beyond the classroom, as he has been instrumental in fostering international collaborations with universities in Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. His prolific research in Information Systems, IT Strategy, Entrepreneurship, AI, and Big Data, has earned him recognition with international academia.

As Vice Chancellor of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Dr. Ramakrishnan Raman is poised to lead the institution to new heights, leveraging his profound expertise and global perspective to enrich the academic experience and drive innovation in higher education.

Dr. Ramakrishnan Raman takes over from Dr. Rajani Gupte who retired from the post of Vice Chancellor.

Dr. Gupte has served as a Vice Chancellor of SIU for two consecutive terms and retired on October 23, 2023.

On 6th March 2022, the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, graced the campus of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) located in Lavale, Pune, for the Commemoration Ceremony of Symbiosis Golden Jubilee and the inauguration of the Symbiosis Aarogya Dham.

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) inaugurated its 2nd largest campus at Nagpur on 28th July. The campus was inaugurated at the hands of Shri Devendra Phadnavis – Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Shri Nitin Gadkari- Hon. Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India.
The new campus has four schools namely- Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Symbiosis Center for Management Studies (SCMS), Symbiosis Law School (SLS) and Symbiosis School of Planning, Architecture and Design (SSPAD).
