There is a moment during graduation when you look past the diplomas and see the exact moment a beautiful chapter closes—and a universe of potential opens.

Two years ago, families from all corners of the world trusted us with their children. They sent them up this hill, into our Wadas, to live, learn, and grow alongside peers from over 70 nationalities. For many, a life-changing scholarship made this dream possible.

Just over a week ago, those same students walked across the stage—not just as graduates, but as compassionate, resilient changemakers ready to build a more peaceful and sustainable future.

We caught up with our graduates and their parents right after the ceremony to capture the immense pride and the overwhelming gratitude of this milestone.

To the MUWCI Class of 2026 and the families who supported them every step of the way: Your journey doesn't end on this hill. It’s only just beginning.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is almost here!

Class of 2026, it’s time to Save the Date for Graduation. We can’t wait to celebrate your journey, your growth, and your achievements on the Hill.

AN IMPORTANT REMINDER: The deadline to register for the ceremony is 1 May. Please ensure you have completed your registration by this Friday to help us finalise arrangements! And remind your parents, friends and family, in case they missed the email invitation.

Building Bridges: UWC Atlantic Visits MUWCI

There is something powerful about the "United" in United World Colleges. Early this month, we were thrilled to host a group of students and teachers from UWC Atlantic for a week of experiential learning and cultural immersion at MUWCI.

The exchange gave them a taste of life at MUWCI:

🔹 Went on a traditional MUWCI hike.
🔹 Stayed overnight in a nearby village, gaining firsthand insight into our local outreach and community life.
🔹 Collaborated on service projects, working alongside our students on long-standing community engagement initiatives.
🔹 Integrated into campus life, participating in academic sessions and student-led evening events.

Exchanges like these remind us that while our campuses may be thousands of miles apart, our shared values and commitment to peace and sustainability make us one global community.

We hosted two high-impact University Fairs on 11 and 13 April, bringing the world’s leading institutions directly to our students. For a MUWCI student, these aren't just presentations—they are a chance to build a bridge to their future.

On April 11th, we welcomed:
- University of Huddersfield (Huddersfield, UK)
- Ashoka University (Haryana, India)
- Brandeis University (Boston, USA)
- Bryn Mawr College (Pennsylvania, USA)
- Scholario (helps Indian students find and secure scholarships for international education )
- Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (Abu Dhabi, UAE)
* Plus a deep-dive UCAS Personal Statement workshop!

On April 13th, the exploration continued with:
- Goucher College (Maryland, USA)
- Beloit College (Wisconsin, USA)
- Nayanta University (Pune, India)

Why this matters:
Direct interaction with outreach and admissions officers allows our students to understand university life beyond the brochure and ask the "big" questions. We are especially grateful for the presence of our Davis Partner Colleges, whose incredible generosity continues to make world-class education accessible for our scholars.

A Night of Nostalgia and Connection in Mumbai

The MUWCI spirit travelled down from the hill to the city on Tuesday for a truly special alumni dinner in Mumbai! It was an evening defined by shared memories, laughter, and the enduring strength of our community.

We were honoured to be joined by our ex-Heads of College, Pelham Lindfield Roberts and Soraya Sayed Hassen, along with a wonderful gathering of alumni from across the years. Seeing different generations of MUWCI graduates connect with the leaders who shaped their journey was a powerful reminder that once you are part of this family, you are part of it for life.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for making it such a warm and memorable evening. We look forward to many more such gatherings as we continue to celebrate 30 years of MUWCI!

What an unforgettable night at The Outroduction! We came together to celebrate the incredible journey of this batch and officially welcome them into the global UWC alumni family.

From the ceremonial Handing of the Torch to the high-energy Drum Circle that got everyone moving, the spirit of MUWCI was stronger than ever.

We will also soon elect two new Batch Representatives who will keep this legendary class connected, no matter where the future takes them.

Congratulations to all our soon-to-be graduates—we ended the night with amazing food and even better company. Remember, this isn’t goodbye... it’s just the beginning of your lifelong connection to the hill. ❤️
