Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust proudly celebrated Indiaโ€™s 80th Independence Day with a solemn and inspiring Flag Hoisting Ceremony at the PCET Campus, Akurdi.

The national flag was proudly unfurled in the presence of Chief Guest Capt. Sumit Kumar Bhan, 510 Lt AD Missile Regt (SP), along with trustees, dignitaries, faculty members, staff, and students.

As the Tricolour soared high, we came together to remember the sacrifices that shaped our nation and reaffirm our commitment to building a stronger, united, and progressive India.

PCET welcomed a distinguished delegation from the Embassies of Croatia, Egypt, Kenya, and Somalia on 3rd August 2026, strengthening international academic engagement and opening new avenues for global collaboration.

The delegation included ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ข๐ฆ๐ข๐ซ ๐…๐š๐ซ๐ค๐š๐ฌ, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Croatia; ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐€๐ฒ๐š๐ญ ๐’๐š๐š๐ ๐€๐ก๐ฆ๐ž๐ ๐ˆ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐š๐ข๐ฅ, Head of the Bureau of Cultural and Educational Relations, Embassy of Egypt; ๐Œ๐ฌ. ๐€๐ง๐ง ๐Š๐š๐ฌ๐ข๐œ๐ก๐š๐ง๐š ๐˜๐š๐š, Second Secretary, Embassy of Kenya; ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐€๐›๐๐ข๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐š๐ค ๐’๐ž๐ข๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ, Commercial Attachรฉ, Embassy of Somalia; and ๐Œ๐ฌ. ๐’๐ž๐›๐ข๐ค๐š ๐‹๐š๐ฆ๐š, Secretary, Embassy of Egypt.

During the interaction, ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐€๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ๐š ๐†๐จ๐ฉ๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ค๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐ง๐š๐ง, Ph.D., Head โ€“ Centre for European Studies, PCET, presented the institutionโ€™s internationalisation vision. ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐‘๐จ๐ฌ๐ก๐š๐ง๐ข ๐‘๐š๐ฎ๐ญ, Dean โ€“ International Relations, and ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐’๐š๐ง๐๐ž๐ž๐ฉ ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ฅ, Associate Dean โ€“ International Relations, PCCOE, enriched the dialogue with perspectives on global academic engagement.

๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐”๐ฆ๐ž๐ฌ๐ก ๐๐จ๐ญ๐๐š๐ซ, Head โ€“ Tata Motors Diploma Program, Pimpri Chinchwad University, Pune, presented the Universityโ€™s industry-integrated initiative developed with Tata Motors. The delegation also visited PCET's S.B. Patil Public School, where ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ฎ ๐’๐š๐ข๐ง๐ข, Principal, SBPPS, shared school's vision for holistic, future-ready education.
