The School of Human Settlements in collaboration with the School of Sustainability and the School of Governance and Public Affairs is organising a University Talk by Shri Durga Shanker Mishra on 'Sustainable Development for Viksit Bharat 2047'. The lecture will be held on 22nd August 2025 at 3:00 pm in the Mini Auditorium, New Academic Block.

Shri D.S. Mishra superannuated as Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh after an illustrious career of four-decades in public service. He has held leadership roles in both the State and Union Governments, spanning domains such as urban development, housing, internal security, civil aviation, health, mining, tourism, sports, and agriculture. As Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, he was the guiding force behind landmark missions such as the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban), PMAY–Urban, AMRUT, Smart Cities Mission, DAY–NULM, and PM SVANidhi. He also oversaw transformative projects such as the New Parliament Building and the Central Vista in Delhi.
