As part of the courses Land Management & Development Regulations (Course Coordinator: Dr. Arpan Paul) and Urban Informalities (Dr. Atanu Chatterjee), second-year MBA–Urban Management & Governance students participated in an immersive learning experience under the SAHAJOG Initiative. Through interactions with policymakers, practitioners, and community members, students explored how urban policies are implemented and how collaborative governance supports inclusive urban development.
On 23 July 2026, students visited Godam Sahi (Ward 49) and Nandinipally Munda Sahi (Ward 28), Bhubaneswar, where they engaged with local communities and gained first-hand insights into urban governance, community participation, and policy implementation on the ground. The field visit provided valuable exposure to:
• Participatory Urban Governance
• Community-Led Development
• Last-Mile Service Delivery
• Urban Informality in Practice
