ducation and Social Science which is a constituent of Manbhum Society of Educational and Cultural Research is comprised of people with academic and cultural bent of mind. college with the aim to impart teacher training to meet the growing manpower requirement in secondary and higher-secondary schools and to inculcate the spirit of good education. This course under this college will enable the students mainly from the rural area to get unique employment opportunity. It will create congenial social and academic environment for further education among the mass rural people. The college has aim at forming academic faculties with the heights rigor of academic standard which will consists of permanent, part-time and visiting faculties from the reputed academic institutes. The College is located at south - end of Purulia town beside the Purulia-Jamshedpur Road (NH-32) in a fully spacious and airy atmospheres. It is well connected with Railway station and Bus stand of Purulia town. The college got permission to start B.Ed. College from West Bengal Council of Higher Education and the University of Burdwan extended affiliation to introduce B.Ed. course from the session July 2007-2008. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has accorded necessary permission and recognition to start B.Ed course from the academic session July 2007 to June 2008. The college has complied with the requirement and stipulations provided by the NCTE, ERC, Bhubhaneswar. Excellent academic standerd is being maintained in our college. In the session 2007-08 more than 80% students have achieved first class. Similarly in the session 2008-09 more than 82% students have secured first division. The students are getting unique multicultureal atmosphere in our college which helps them to become responsible teacher.
