Nalanda University hosted a distinguished lecture today on “Climate Diplomacy and India in a Changing World” by Mr. R. R. Rashmi, IAS (Retd.), Distinguished Fellow at TERI and India’s former climate negotiator.

Drawing on decades of policy experience, he reflected on India’s leadership in shaping equitable global climate frameworks, while navigating the complex balance between developmental priorities and sustainability. He also highlighted the evolving global climate regime under the Paris Agreement and the growing challenges posed by shifting geopolitical and environmental priorities.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Professor Sachin Chaturvedi felicitated the speaker, marking a thoughtful and enriching academic engagement on a defining global challenge.

Nalanda University was delighted to host a distinguished delegation of 22 social media influencers and content creators from across Asia - including Bhutan, Cambodia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, today, as part of a Familiarization Visit organised by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

The delegation was briefed through a comprehensive academic presentation on the University’s evolving academic landscape, the Sahabhagita initiative, and its pioneering Net-Zero campus, followed by a curated guided tour of the campus.

The visit underscored Nalanda’s growing role as a dynamic platform for international engagement, fostering cultural exchange, regional understanding, and knowledge partnerships across Asia.
