Guided by Professor Sachin Chaturvedi, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, the Sahabhagita initiative continues to connect sustainability learning with everyday community life.

As part of the Sustainability Toolbox Project, Dr. Muneer Magry, NU Faculty Coordinator, facilitated an interactive session with students of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Govt Girls Residential School, Rajgir, on practical ways to understand and practise sustainability within their school.

As the first step, students have mapped water usage across the campus. The next phase will involve a detailed water audit to understand consumption patterns and identify ways to conserve water.

Through such hands-on learning, the initiative aims to nurture awareness and responsibility among young learners, making sustainability a part of everyday action and contributing to SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation.

विज्ञान प्रगति @75 | प्लेटिनम जुबली समारोह

विज्ञान प्रगति के 75वें वर्ष में प्रवेश के अवसर पर आयोजित प्लेटिनम जुबली समारोह में नालंदा विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रोफेसर सचिन चतुर्वेदी जी मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में सम्मिलित हुए।

समारोह में डॉ. विश्व मोहन कटोच, प्रो. के. जी. सुरेश और डॉ. गीता वाणी रायसम की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति में ‘रोमांचक विज्ञान कथाएं’ और ‘मानव स्वास्थ्य और निरोगी जीवन’ पुस्तकों सहित ‘विज्ञान प्रगति’ के अगस्त 2026 विशेषांक एवं CSIR-NIScPR की द्विभाषी सूचना पुस्तिकाओं का विमोचन किया गया।

विज्ञान संचार की 75 वर्षों की समृद्ध यात्रा को समर्पित इस अवसर की कुछ झलकियाँ।

विज्ञान प्रगति@75 | प्लेटिनम जुबली समारोह

माननीय कुलपति प्रोफेसर सचिन चतुर्वेदी जी ने आज सीएसआईआर-राष्ट्रीय विज्ञान संचार एवं नीति अनुसंधान संस्थान (निस्पर) में आयोजित विज्ञान प्रगति@75 प्लेटिनम जुबली समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में प्रतिभाग किया।

75 वर्षों से सरल हिंदी में विज्ञान का प्रकाश फैलाती यह पत्रिका राष्ट्र की वैज्ञानिक चेतना को निरंतर समृद्ध कर रही है। इस ऐतिहासिक अवसर पर नालंदा विश्वविद्यालय का प्रतिनिधित्व कर हम गौरान्वित हैं।

In New Delhi today, Professor Sachin Chaturvedi, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Nalanda University, held a courtesy meeting with Shri Kumar Sanjay Jha, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha and Former Minister, Government of Bihar.

Prof. Chaturvedi briefed Shri Jha on the University’s recent academic, research and international engagements. Shri Jha expressed his continued support and encouragement for Nalanda University’s efforts to strengthen its academic excellence, global engagement and contribution to India’s knowledge ecosystem.

The meeting offered valuable insights into contemporary economic developments and the range of policy measures being undertaken across India’s evolving economic landscape.

🇮🇳🇦🇺 Strengthening the India–Australia Knowledge Partnership

Nalanda University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The University of Western Australia (UWA) in Mumbai, on the sidelines of the 10th Annual IC3 Conference & Expo, opening new avenues for deeper academic and research collaboration between India and Australia. The University of Western Australia | Australian High Commission, India and Bhutan

The partnership seeks to advance joint research supervision, teaching programmes, post-doctoral research, conferences and publications, and exchanges of faculty, research fellows and students, alongside wider academic and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Under the leadership of Professor Sachin Chaturvedi, Vice Chancellor, NU, and Professor Amit Chakma, Vice Chancellor, UWA, the partnership brings together two institutions with strong intellectual traditions to foster contemporary global scholarship.

Australia has been a valued partner in the journey of Nalanda’s establishment and revival. This new partnership carries that spirit forward—deepening India–Australia educational ties and connecting Nalanda’s enduring legacy of learning with new possibilities for research, innovation and international academic exchange.

Senior officials from both universities were present on the occasion, marking this important step towards strengthening institutional and academic ties.
