🌿 Academic Field Visit & "Myth vs. Fact" Campaign! 🐍🌱
On August 22, 2026, our B.A.M.S. students embarked on an insightful field visit to Pradhyuman Zoological Park (Rajkot Zoo) for an integrated learning session organized by the Agadtantra Department alongside Dravyaguna. Escorted by Dr. Sachin Mangattu (HOD), Dr. Abhishek Kagathara, Dr. Anju Dinesh, and Dr. Asmita Nakum, students explored the park's rich biodiversity.
The multi-disciplinary visit gave students a complete hands-on experience:
🌿 Medicinal Plant Study: Observed and analyzed various medicinal plants in situ across the zoo grounds to master their botanical features and Dravyaguna characteristics.
🐍 Reptile Identification: Explored the Reptile House to observe species like the Common Cobra, Russell’s Viper, Red Sand Boa, Python, Rat Snake, and Checkered Keelback.
🎓 Faculty-Led "Myth vs. Fact": Faculties conducted an interactive session explaining the scientific realities behind common myths surrounding reptiles, snakebites, and first-aid measures.
🎭 Student Awareness Skit: Students brought these teachings to life by performing a dynamic Myth vs. Fact Skit to promote public health awareness and educate about proper first-aid protocols.
By combining botanical observation, reptile study, and community outreach, our future Ayurvedic physicians turned classroom concepts into real-world medical awareness! 🩺✨
