🔬✨ Real-Time Industrial Learning!
Our B.Sc. students from Shanthiniketan College of Science & Management Studies explored the world of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals during their visit to Bio Anthem Pvt. Ltd. and Anthem Biosciences Ltd., Harohalli.

They learned about:
🧪 Fermentation & media preparation
🔬 QC lab testing – pH, purity & microscopy
🌱 Bio-fertilizer, probiotic & enzyme production
📦 Packaging, labeling & storage
💊 Pharma production, QC & water plant operations

This visit helped students connect classroom concepts with real industry practices and inspired them toward exciting careers in biotech & pharma.

🌿🔬 B.Sc. Students Industrial Visit – Hands-on Learning Experience

Students of Shanthiniketan College of Science & Management Studies visited Bio Anthem Pvt. Ltd., Harohalli and Anthem Biosciences Ltd., Unit–2 for an enriching industrial exposure.

At Bio Anthem, students observed real-time bioprocesses such as fermentation, media preparation, incubation, centrifugation, and filtration. They learned how microbial cultures are developed and converted into bio-fertilizers, probiotics, and industrial enzymes.
They also explored the Quality Control Lab, understanding microbial testing, pH analysis, purity checks, moisture analysis, and microscopic observation, along with the importance of hygiene and sterilization in biotech labs.

Students further visited the packaging and storage units, learning about sealing, labeling, batch numbering, and proper storage conditions. Safety practices like PPE usage and sanitization were also emphasized.

At Anthem Biosciences Ltd., students visited the production department, QC lab, and water plant, gaining insights into how pharmaceutical products are manufactured and monitored with strict quality standards.

✨ This industrial visit provided our students with valuable practical exposure, helping them connect classroom learning with real industry operations and motivating them to explore future opportunities in biotechnology and pharmaceutical sciences.

😊💐💐Science Wing – Cancer Awareness Program

On the occasion of National Cancer Awareness Day, our Science Wing organized a meaningful and insightful Cancer Awareness Program on November 7th.

The event was held to honour the birth anniversary of Madam Marie Curie, whose revolutionary discoveries in radioactivity laid the foundation for today’s advanced cancer treatments. Her contributions continue to inspire generations in the field of science and medicine.

We were privileged to have Prof. Sutthur S. Malini, Chairperson, Department of Genetics & Genomics, University of Mysore, as our Chief Guest. She delivered an enlightening session aimed at educating students and the community about:

✔ Cancer prevention
✔ Importance of early detection
✔ Healthy lifestyle practices
✔ Awareness to reduce rising cancer cases

The program successfully created awareness and encouraged students to take responsibility for spreading knowledge and promoting a healthier society.
